I play Diablo III (EU) since 2018, always solo and seasons since 17 solo too.
In season 27 and worse in seasan 28, “someone” greatly increased the difficulty of drop rates of set items not only, and the expenses with upgrades, I already contacted some players many notice this HUGE difference to previous seasons even playing Non-seasons I don’t know why or reason but, I would like to know, curiosity nothing more…
Remember the Challenge rifts? and tripled consumable spend in the Mystic to increase the efficiency of an item?
Yeah, in season 28 it’s much worse…
I’ll tell you my “pinnacle” with season 28!
Monday, 52 GRs, with my Wizard at level 95, max time 3 minutes, (many GR’s less than 2 minutes) with 1 second in the city and every 5 GR’s to spend the blood shards (1860), in Kadala I spend between 5 and 8 some I go to 10 seconds.
Result at the end of about 2.5 hours??? (kadala included) only a good legendary gloves.
Yesterday…, 46 GR, spent on my demon Hunter, same, times a little slower 2/3 minutes sometimes 3.30, also at level 95, and result??? tcharammmmmmm nothing, absolutely nothing, and … tons of materials spent for some small updates but without result because I gave up …
As Rod Stewart said in a famous song, some Guys have all the luck, others all the pain.
My son continues to play, I occasionally in the non-season. 28 for me…the end.
AH…I forgot… Diablo IV (two pre orders here) no Thanks, while Diablo III lasts I’ll be playing soft…and with millions of non-season materials to spend.

I’m not quite sure what you’re aiming at? It’s always so that once you are equipped with reasonably good gear upgrades become more and more hard to get.

I read your post again. And this is simply not true.
Especially after unlocking the altar. Of course, because of the randomness of the game, a few players may experience extremely “bad luck” in certain cases (like some not getting a Ramaladni’s gift even after reaching paragon 800, or close to that, while others will have a handful at that time).
The odds and the increasing price at the Mystic also hasn’t changed.
