So just got an idea how to create Ancient items via Kanai’s cube!
Just like in D2 there was a way to create items by putting 3 version into the cube to upgrade it!
Yes the gems!
What if you could let it happen with normal items?
Would be a really kind gesture to allow players to create ancient items like this way.
3 normal item + cube = ancient version of that item!
Thanks!
Probably too easy because there are already recipes that can make ancient items (reforge and upgrade).
Okay, then raise to 5.
5 item of the same version to upgrade that into ancient.
The Cube already has an “Upgrade rare to legendary” recipe and ancients are 1 in 10 legendaries. So, on average, for every 100 rare items upgraded 10 of the resulting legendaries will be ancient.
Let’s assume that your suggestion was implemented. You upgrade 100 rare items into legendaries in the Cube. 10 of the results will be ancient. You then use your new recipe to convert the remaining 90 non-ancient legendaries into 18 ancients. So, from 100 rare items, you’d get 28 ancients.
So, instead of 10% ancients, you’d be getting 28% ancients. Not going to happen.
I’m not talking about having ANCIENT items!
You were mistaken.
I’m talking about getting the Ancinet version of the item without reforging it in the way throughout Bounty hunting.
Before you read me you should clarify to yourself what was mentioned not what was in your brain.
I know that you mean three or five (or more) of the same non ancient item to convert it to ancient (like five Yang’s Recurves or Dawns or something). It’s a suggestion of course - but not likely to be implemented.
Ridiculous propose, why not make all items that drop ancient and from those make 99%primal.
PoE already have this system: you can obtain a new random item vendoring five similar items.
Options enough in D3 your get items but it cost some effort as it should. Since vanilla its so easy to get legendaries no one should complain about it.
