As I can see, top of Marauder’s leaderboard is occupied by builds that use Yang as weapon and Manticore cubed, and they have no Multishot skill on skillbars.
What’s the point of that? The only reason I can imagine is to get 50% RCR from Yang which gives extra 50% damage reduction via Captain Crimson. But isn’t cubed Dawn and 100% uptime Vengeance (with 40% damage buff and same 50% damage reduction) better?

Gameplay
As described in the gameplay section above: Keep up your buffs (5x Sentry, Wraps of Clarity, Bastions of Will) at all times. Gather enemies with Evasive Fire and mow them down with Cluster Arrow when you have made a large pull. Activate Vengeance when needed for bigger bursts.
Equipped Yang’s gives 50% RCR.
Cubed Manticore gives 50% RCR and 300% CA damage.
The combined RCR gives 75% RCR on CA, which means you can non-stop cast Cluster Arrow (only interleaving Evasive Fire to maintain the buff from Wraps of Clarity). Being able to continually cast CA due to not running out of resources is better overall damage than having 100% up-time on Vengeance, but running out of Hatred.
Resource Requirement reduction. I was looking at that too at first scratching my head but then I reallized. 50-xx% minus res. requirement is very good for their main skill. 
I have yet to get all the required items and build it myself.
But yeah, looking at this season’s DH Leaderboard is pretty clean, everyone rocking this set only. So it is definitely overpowered compared to the rest of the build it seems.
Does the resource cost reduction on Manticor’s Orange text really counted toward the Crimson’s set RC ability though? I wonder…
No because that’s a resource cost reduction on a specific skill not on your general RCR 
take care, the RCR from Manticore does not count for Crimson damage reduction, as is only skill RCR not global RCR.
But yes, 50%RCR from Yang is why is used. I tried the version with Dawn, but you get out of hatred quickly.
