I’m new to diablo 3. Started with barb and got season set which chewed through rifts without issue. Also tried rend build which seemed not quite so good but still can do 90s easy with no ancients or augments. But it’s boring. Just hold down right mouse button and keep buffs up. Yawn.
So I tried necro pest corpse lance build. Icy veins says I’m supposed to scout around and hunt elites, but I just seem to die. I get one shot by mobs as I run past, or they fairly quickly chip away at my health as I go past a few groups.
I also tried the top tier support build, which is fun, but I feel like I’m not really doing anything, just following others around making a lot of noise and flying ice on the screen.
I did manage to complete 90s using a modified build that clears all trash for shorter land of dead cooldowns, but that required augmented ancients to get as far as barbarian without that.
What am I doing wrong? How can I do this elite hunting playstyle without dying all the time?
