Offline-ish mode d4, and d3?

so i played some warframe, there in single player the game loads then plays as if offline till the end of the instance, great for me in the 3rd world. would be great if diablo had something like this, with an option to save when u find loot, or something.

also, i think the monk is the coolest thing d3 did, the vibe of the class is my fav of all games, hope he is in d4.

also, the stash in d3 is too small. atm i mule, a nightmare remembering where everything is. e.g if i wanna play my dh, i gotta mule stash stuff, so when i get on my dh i can empty my inventory. imo, what u need is, 2 tabs for jewelry, 1 or 2 tabs per class just for set items, then another 2 tabs per class, and a tab per class for weapons/offhand. then just like 3 extra… would be so nice to have things more organised. and be able to keep multiples of items with different stats.

So 40 tabs is your idea of “organised”? I’m more inclined to think it would be total chaos.

if u dont want to use them, fine, but whats the harm in having them.

what they could do, is make the top row tabs class based icons, then easy, click necro, click sets, and so on.

+14 = 16

+14 = 30

+7 = 37

+3 = 40

Stop hoarding useless gear.

All criticism aside it was officially stated about a year ago that 13 tabs is max. The team had promised five more tabs to be earned by season but had to give it up. The game is coded in such a way that the gameplay will suffer if more tabs are added. That’s the sad/hard facts.

Offline play will never happen. Too bad that you suffer from poor connection of course.

i dont understand the hostility, and all this “hoarding” talk. -dont u guys play all classes?- there isnt enough room too keep the gear for multiple builds. – not everyone wants so play cookie cutter end game only, sometimes its fun to hop on a different build even if it means playing lower difficulty, you know, for FUN.

atm what i do is play 2 classes at a time, i dont hoard, i just keep the gear for 3 builds each class and the sets, 1 tab for jewelry, 1 for gems. and its fine, for TWO classes. if i wanna play some other class, i gotta mule manage…

*@jazz, ya internet is a pain here, they said they commin today to fix it. /crossfingers

Yes, I have. I have 13 stash tabs…

  1. Gems, Ramaladni’s, Infernal Machines
  2. Necromancer gear, assorted INT-based jewellery
  3. Crusader gear, assorted STR-based jewellery
  4. Demon Hunter gear, assorted DEX-based jewellery
  5. Barbarian gear, Gold Find gear, assorted sundry primals
  6. Monk gear
  7. Wizard gear
  8. Witch Doctor gear
  9. Spare potions, follower items, puzzle rings, bovine bardiches
  10. Empty
  11. Empty
  12. Empty
  13. Empty

If I add up all the non-used squares in my stash I have…

  1. 0
  2. 32
  3. 14
  4. 15
  5. 0
  6. 21
  7. 21
  8. 21
  9. 20
  10. 70
  11. 70
  12. 70
  13. 70

That’s a total of 424 squares which, at 70 per tab, is the equivalent of over six stash tabs of unused squares. So, from 13 tabs, I’m using 7.

u must play different. dont you like to experiment with builds? thats the game. how do u do this without the gear? -farm it when u have an idea or wanna try something? -pfffffff- — actually, the main reason i play the popular builds, is to get gear to try weird builds. — i like the legacy of dreams, so i want to keep the ancients i find, dex, str, int, versions of them, too. why the heck not… and yesh i would like to keep the sets for all classes, too. who knows when i catch a vaps and feel to play x build, or i think of a build with x, but doh, i dont have and gotta farm it… - i dont understand how the code is such a way that the performance would suffer for this. THEY wrote the code.

  • how bout then, they offer a service, u buy a second account, that is bound to yer main one, only my bnet can access them, they can trade/mail. then i can have say, my wiz and monk on one account, and my necro and crusader on another.

this is crazy to me lol. blizz has resources, how can u have a loot hunting game, but you arent supposed to collect the loot… the stash in my mind, not knowing programming seems like one of more minor(technically, but major gameplay-wise) things to improve. why not? - but they can add cosmetic pets tho, lots of time to make that stuff!..

i could write an essay on things i’d like to see improved in d3, but man, the stash, come on, thats childs play, make it bigger…

In addition, we encountered a lot of technical issues with increasing overall stash space for players. Unfortunately, as these issues caused significant degredation of the overall gameplay experience, we ultimately had to take a step back on this quality of life improvement and table it for now.

There was a thread on the old forums, of over 750 posts, all about the fiasco of the extra stash tabs. First, on the PTR, they offered 5 extra tabs purchasable for gold, then they changed this to 5 extra tabs earned by 5 more seasonal Conqueror achievements, then they offered 1 extra tab earned by 1 more seasonal Conqueror achievement. First they said all the extra tabs might cause client crashes (as every player’s entire stash contents are synch’d with all the other players in the same game instance, very regularly), then they said it might cause server instability. All of which was rightly responded to with much cynicism, especially as lots of players who had bought 5 tabs on the PTR experienced no issues what-so-ever.

However, it is what it is. Blizzard have said no, so get used to having just 13 tabs.

Why would you want 2 tabs per class just for the sets? I get that maybe a few more tabs would be helpful, but in your case I suspect that you just keep every item that you find multiple times. I only do that for items that are universal like COE, magefists, Aquila, witching hour, etc. And I keep a dex /strength/ int version which is ancient and has the correct rolls for these ifems. There are literally dozens of items in the game that you’ll never ever use in any build, jewelery included, so no need to keep them.

1 tab for the jewelery is enough and mine is 2/3 filled even with some garbage primals in there.

7 tabs for the 7 classes which are overcrowded I admit. Since I play a lot of WD and Barb I have 2 of these characters. I don’t put every class item there just the ones that make the existing builds for each class functional. I am not gonna put something that buffs bash for Barb for example or firebomb for WD cause I will never use those skills. And I am not keeping 5 barbers or 5 sacred harvesters or 5 bands of might either. Just a couple of them with ideal rolls. Preferably ancient ones.

2 tabs for the universal armor and weapons slots.

1 for gems and infernal machines

1 for follower items, puzzle rings, bovine halberds and potions.

So at the end I still have an empty tab.

For me it would be better if we were allowed a few more character slots.

Trust me I’ve played a every class and have tried around 75% of the builds in the game. Some of them I didn’t like at all and I doubt if I’ll ever gonna touch them again. I only kept anything that was primal or maybe a super good quadfecta gloves that will be hard to find again if I want to try it. Maybe if I wanted to try everything and I mean every possible build, then I guess I could need a couple more tabs but certainly not 40.
