Q: Can Legacy lvl 60 Set parts become lvl 70?

Hello all,

I used to play Diablo 3 back in the day of its first release.
I stopped for a while (long before the Reaper of Souls expansion) and now, I began playing again.

I have dropped before I quit, Immortal King’s Triumph (helmet) (LVL 60).
And now I dropped Immortal King’s Stride (boots) (LVL 70).

It appears that the game doesn’t consider these 2 as a set!

The question is: Can I, somehow Turn my LVL 60 Helmet, to LVL 70 so it can be a part of the set?

Thank you in advance for your answers!

There is no way to upgrade legacy items to new versions. Even they have the same name, they are different items, with different internal ID.

You need to farm for the new version.

Tip: play season to get a full set. You only need to complete the first 4 chapters of season journey (not campaign acts).

It will be easy to farm other sets and items using the given set.

Thank you so much for your immediate answer!

Pity for the set, but I like the season Tip.

What do you min the first 4 chapters? cause I see a lot of things to do in a season!

Take a look at this…
https://d3resource.com/journey/
…which shows all the tasks in each chapter of the season journey and what the rewards are for completing each chapter. Completion of chapters 2, 3 and 4 result in a Haedrig’s Gift, which arrives in the in-game mail and, when opened give parts of your set armour. The first two gifts contain two pieces of the armour each, the third gift contains the rest (some sets have 7 pieces rather than six, so the final gift contains 3 pieces).

Also, be aware that there are plenty of people that would be only too happy to help you get a seasonal hero to level 70 (takes under 20 minutes) and help you with your journey to get some gear. (Drop me a Friends request - Meteorblade#2266 - if you’d like me to help)

Thanks a lot for the tips!!

I will definately friend you as soon as I finish work!

Thanks once again!

To have a bit of fun I tried to reroll a legacy Level 60 Manticore in the cube in PTR -which resulted in a level 63 item (with legacy stats).
Don’t know if this is a bug on the PTR, but I will try to do it on NS to see if the level changes higher, but it should not be able to reroll as a level 70.

I suspect then that your Manticore dropped in Inferno Act III or IV. The reason I say that is that loot that dropped in Inferno Act I and II had an itemlevel of 62 and loot that dropped in Inferno Act III and IV had an itemlevel of 63. That’s why there was such a step change in difficulty between Acts II and III, with the commensurate increase in loot power that dropped there.
