Angelic crucibles makes game better and more intersting in different builds. Why Blizzard removes content from the game that makes game more interesting? Game 10 years old and needs more content for all players.
Personally I skiped season 27, but anyway angelic crucibles and weapons was removed from all characters. It’s so much dissapoint that no one can drops angelic crucibles now. Please return drop of angelic crucibles for all characters. We need it!

But I don’t quite understand. If you skipped season 27 (meaning not playing) how can you miss the crucibles and the items? Things that you didn’t use?
Contained in Patch 2.7.5 is an 11th Kanai’s Cube recipe that lets you turn any non-crafted legendary / set item into a primal using 100 ash. When salvaging primals you gain 55 ash. So, if you get 2 bad primals you can create a new one of your choosing. Essentially, this recipe gives you the exact same functionality as the crucibles, but the recipe’s permanently available (non-seasonal and seasonal).
What Meteorblade said, but read carefully the patch notes before you jump to crafting as much primals as you can.
Yeah, it was a seasonal theme. It usually lasts during a season and when that said season ends it doesn’t trasnfer into other seasons or non-season. Just like 4th cube slot, ethereals, etc., in the past. I am certain, however, that the altar in the current season is even stronger so you can push higher and farm much more paragons now.
It wasn’t about the primal-equivalent stat upgrade.
I really liked the little extra abilities it granted. Ex; Whirlwind pulls enemies. Both awesome, and not too OP so that it couldn’t have been kept.
Hells, I’d have kept the universal 4th cube slot, the legendary helm & weapon gems, AND the “Ethereal” weapons! There’s like half a dozen Diablo titles out there now, what does it matter if the survivors of D3 run 10-20 GR higher than usual?
People usually want the season them to stay 
Can’t imagine that the Altar will disappear after this season. There is too much development in it and also a lot of quality of life improvements asked for for years.
