And as usual can’t be bothered to write a correct paragraph. This theme was not introduced in Season 27. Season 27 had the crucibles which were recycled in Season 34. Season 35 is the recycle of Season 19.

Yes, Season 35 is a recycle of Season 19. Also, that is one of the seasons they added double this and that, because everyone lost interest rather quickly. Who know with the alter that may change. LOL

Nah for me personally. Extremely boring season and altar wont make it any less boring for me personally. Major bummer as s34 went on and on . The buffs for are just a yawn fest.

Yeah this season is really underwhelming compared to the last seasons. Even the pre - Altar seasons were way more fun for me. I mean, it’s not weak, considering that there are a couple of GR150 clears in day 3, but still… Too much effort, and methodical gameplay required. And for exp farming, this theme might as well be nonexistent.

My plans are to fully unlock the altar and then play a couple of hours every weak at max, and then wait for the next season (hopefully it won’t be S21 recycled).

Well, I’ll see how it goes. I just got on the leaderboard with a GR 106 with my speed build (Tal Rasha lightning with Aether Walker) and the theme helped a bit (the geysers came up while fighting Perendi) and it also helped a bit making progress. 106 is nothing of course
This run even gave me an ancient Puzzle Ring for the Altar! I have unlocked the QOL seals so it’s fun to run visions. I had thought about waiting with farming for the Staff of Herding but decided to do it on T16 in order to get visions while doing it.

PS. Actually got lucky and got all the parts today :scream: I remember seasons where it took days and endless tries to get the stuff…

Nice!! I am at 122 with helltooth zombie bears and no augments but I believe I am very close to my ceiling with this build. For farming or speed GRs this theme is unnoticeable for me but I haven’t really pushed high or played around the theme. It’s okay, sometimes when there are two elites near a pylon and another one from nemesis bracers, probably a kill streak effect will help kill the screen faster. All my time is spent in speed GR100. I think I’ll stick to this build for this whole season, cause it’s weird and relatively unpopular which is a nice thing for a change. Last season I played almost every meta op build . I don’t have any high goals this season, it’s just chill for me, but I aim to clear GR130 at least, maybe 135. By the way, the 3rd day of the season, this build did GR150!!! Or rather the theme did 150 and this build was just the one that was equipped.

Yeah I have decent luck as well with the staff components. I think they increased the droprate of the gibbering gemstone from Chiltara some seasons ago, and this was the hardest item to get. I also got it, even if I have some more seals to unlock until I get there but I like to be prepared. This time it took me 3-4 tries for every component and around 15 tries for the gibbering but in the previous season I got everything in the first try which is crazy.

@ Yukos Zombie bears here too(I usually push with the seasonal gifted set and build around it). Trying to get my hands on an ancient puzzle ring for the altar, no luck yet.
Also a botter already sniping WD rank 1 with 99% of possible time played and paragon 3k+

That’s great. I had to try a 122 - not that I wanna compete with you - it took 7:07 minutes and felt slow. Didn’t use Stricken so the boss took a while, luckily I had a shield pylon. The theme can help somewhat but not much on poor maps like the Keeps. Need to do some augments and set up the build better. I play solo, but not SSF.

Tell me about it. With zombie bears, every tree, rock, wall, cliff, any random obstacle can block the path of the bears. And even in good maps there are quite a few obstacles. It’s a weird setup but I like it nonetheless and it’s relatively tanky. I don’t compete that much to be honest. I want to clear GR 150 with all the classes at some point. Have done it with crusader, necro, monk and wizard in the past, and missing the other 3. But to be honest the best chance is in a season like soul shards.

Same. Ive been playing around with frosty bears and they seem to work better in tight spaces and against waller affix but unfortunately it lacks the dmg and range of the poison bears.
I managed to get to 134 (barely, 14 minutes and something, previous was 8,30min 132) but kinda meh that its so dependent on a good open map with pylons and the right mob type.
Also that Im not very good at scouting/grouping the mobs properly for a good chain reaction, small groups keep getting distracted around my templar and they stop following me so I end with a lot of small clumps of mobs instead of a big group. Ive played around with the wall of death rune that pushes mobs but cant really get the hang of it, I might have to try that a bit more.
