I hate them. They don’t feel like they personify the set at all, and force you into walking on eggshells with a specific, wonky setup that feels awkward at best and terrible at worst. Although there may be a way to cheese this, but at face value it sucks and it’s not at all fun, leaving more casual players out of the neat cosmetics or forced to call quits or level and gear the easiest set dungeon character which is a huge waste of time in my personal opinion. I don’t understand why Blizzard always have these gaps and skill-gated obective between casual players and hardcore players when the rewards are purely cosmetics.
You have a seasonal Necromancer. Every single set dungeon for the Necro is an absolute cakewalk. Try Inarius. It’s literally just walking around the map, occasionally pressing Bone Armour, and killing mobs with the bone tornado that comes with the six piece set. If it takes you more than a couple of minutes, I’d be surprised…
One of the rewards isn’t purely cosmetic. You can gain extra stash tabs for completing the first 8 chapters of the season journey (one extra tab each new season and to a total of five extra tabs all in all). Don’t forget that there are other “time wasting” chores in the season journey; like doing up to three conquests.
Every class has at least one set that is extremely easy to master in a dungeon. Necro is indeed the easiest of all. I did mine with firebird wizard. Didn’t spend more than 4 minutes anyway, I just kept some items for the dungeon only and salvaged them afterwards. Sometimes you need to tune down your damage or send away your follower if they get in the way of completion but that is necessary for the trickiest set dungeons. You can also do them with a team if you like. It doesn’t say it’s a solo activity.
