SUGGESTION: Playing D3 with an PS4/Xbox controller on PC

I bought this game some time ago but didn’t have time to play it. I bought it because i played it a few times with some friends on their Playstation or Xbox but never on PC.

Recently we had a gaming session with some of my friends and we went through D3 on their PS4. I really liked it and was super excited to get some progress done on my account on PC but when i started playing i lost the will to play it because of the moving system.

Playing on console seems so smooth because you can actually move but on PC you just keep clicking everywhere…which is the same button as for attacking, plus you can’t walk one way and shoot the other which is very frustrating.

It would be great if there was a way to play with a controller, it really changes the game for the better and i think the way it works on consoles it’s the way it should be played.

I know there are some ways to get the controller working with the game but most of them are bannable, the best solution for movement i found so far was binding “Force move” to “W” and guide it with the mouse, which is still very frustrating.

The whole game feels so clunky this way, like if you were playing games from 20-30 years ago, i really wish there was a controller option so i/we could enjoy the game as it should’ve been.

If anyone has any other solutions for this that won’t get us banned, please share them.

Go into the keybindings and assign Force Move to Mouse Wheel Up and Mouse Wheel Down. That way you can use the scroll wheel to make your hero go where you want them to and left-click is still attack.

YouTube video showing you how to do this…

Thanks for your reply, i already know that solution but it doesn’t solve anything, it’s same if you just bind Force move to W. The problem i’m having is that you can’t move one way and attack the other, this is what’s frustrating me. You can’t move without going the same direction as your mouse cursor.

have u tried with a bluetooth usb adapter? i tried on my switch and it works… but dont know if it will work on a pc

I have a PS4 controller but to get it working you need 3rd party software to trick your PC into thinking it’s an Xbox controller and maybe some scripts to make it working correctly…which will most likely get you banned, that is my problem.

i have the exact same problem, i first played this game with ma friends on a ps4, and i thought oh man, finally did blizzard do something new and innovative, and then i bought the game ofc, but i only have a pc and ive put enough money into this machine, i aint buying a console, ive waited so many years for them to put a controller support in it, they just dont do it, i would even pay for it, make it a DLC let me pay u 20€ for that , fuqing greedy bastaaaards, 2019 and still nothing , i aint playing that game for 1 more minute before they release a controller support!
