Thank you for the new forums. Looking forwards to seeing many lovely threads here. Diablo 3 is a new game for me, and I love it.

I’m looking forward to using the new forums. It looks great so far, and I like the instant preview while creating a new post. Just some questions though:

  1. Do we need to have a specific Post Count or Forum Reputation in order to post links?
  2. As with the previous forum software, this new version only show likes. Are there any plans to enable the ability for post to shows both Likes and Dislikes?

This US forum thread explains all about the new formatting, trust levels and so on…
New Forum Guide - Syntax & Features

The new forums do not have a down-voting function. So, now, rather than being able to quickly indicate that you don’t like the contents of a post with a click on the down-vote button, you now have to make a post saying why you disagree and hope that other people up-vote your reply. Seems daft that we’re still allowed to up-vote without comment though.

I read a post which explained how one can vote positively in a post, but not negatively. How I understood it was that they wanted people to actually write what they disagreed with in the forums?

I suppose that makes it possible to debate a little more?

It would be great when we click on a link in topics that contain them, they open in a new tab.

It’ll make checking the content of the linked page easier to read and respond to in the original topic.

Top-right of the forum
Click on your Avatar
Click on the cog to access Preferences
Click on Interface
Click on Open all external links in a new tab
Click on Save Changes

[ EDIT ]
Your preferences are region specific so if you post on EU and US forums you’ll need to do this on both regions.

Thanks, Meteorblade.

I read https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/d3/t/the-ultimate-forum-guide-codes-trust-levels-faq/39, which contains a link to https://bit.ly/trustlevel.

Doesn’t seem to work though. Said link does not open in a new tab, even after I’ve made the appropriate settings as suggested by you.

EDIT: Fixed - It seems that the first time I changed the setting for links to open in a new tab, the setting was not saved when I clicked on Save Changes. :grinning:

Nothing happened, other than people Necro-bumping the thread…

What about a Diablo 4 forum? Lazy Blizzard.
Plenty people have good ideas for Diablo 4, but you guys still really don’t care about the players.
