If you answered no to either of those questions, that’s why.
well no… leveling is that fast and easy i guess… wow
More people play Diablo 2. Deal with it
It is unfortunately way to easy for people in group play to level characters to 70.
When I play with my niece, it takes us maybe 8 or 9 hours total (spread over 3 days) to reach 70 and to start earning Paragon levels. On my own, it takes at least a month of about 3 hours per day just to get to 70 and Paragon 200. Ok sure. I deliberately play slower than most. But that is also to ensure that I can get the complete seasonal experience over it’s full 3 month run.
One of the real side-effects of speed-levelling is to also loose interest in the seasonal game too quickly. If you stick around and read the forums long enough, you will often read posts by players complaining that Diablo 3 is too fast, and they lost interest within the first few days of a season start.
And that is because they leveled their heroes too quickly and got stuck in the loot hunting grind too soon.
Your experience with Diablo III will be better of if you don’t rush it.
I know you like to play slower than some but taking over 90 hours to get to paragon 200 is positively glacial.
That’s more than double the playtime it took me to finish Guardian…

The only non-solo content I did was a couple of split bounty groups and the Curses! conquest.
After Guardian the only thing I’ve done on that hero is provide level 1-70 boosts and journey help to others. The reason I had zero interest in pushing this season was entirely due to the Triune circles theme being extremely lacklustre, not how fast I got to 70 / Guardian.
Prior to the potential Rend nerf of the Barbarian changes that were on the 2.6.7 PTR I was fully looking forward to going absolute beast mode on Season 19 because the season theme is fantastic. If the nerf goes through, not so much.
cuz ppl play poe ot gd
Honestly, I don’t fully recall if it was Paragon 200 or 400 or whatever it was I reached in the first month of the season.
All that I really care about, to be frank, is to ensure that I play a season for almost it’s entire duration. With Season 18 I clocked in 292 hours of total game time with my Monk:

As you know, I avoid boosting anyone for the simple reason that doing so robs them of the chance to reach those goals themselves, and because also they get bored too quickly by having “finished” too soon.
Season 18 in fact, and it’s associated theme of The Triune Circles, is what pressed be on to break all my own previous personal records.
Season 19 may even allow me to do better, because the whole Kill Streak motif is something I strive for with all my games and heroes.

Talking about PoE, I recently picked it up again, after many years, and I just cannot stand the graphics, bright white fonts, all the colours… The whole screen is “off” and weird looking. Diablo 3 is infinitely more polished.
Paragon 1005, almost 300 hours played, and you haven’t gotten further than Slayer in the Season Journey? I can only imagine it was the set dungeon mastery in Champion that stopped you there, as a lot of the later tasks I’d expect you to have gotten naturally from your hero’s other conquests / GR clearances.
You’re right. I didn’t master the set dungeon, because a part of it was to unleash my Mystic Allies onto 10 enemies within 10 yards 5 times.
That I found impossible, because by the time I could even get to “unleash my Mystic Allies”, they had already themselves one-shotted practically everything on-screen and I had to move on to the next pack.
Besides, you make it sound like my not getting past Slayer is a bad thing? How many times to I have to say it? The rewards offered (including extra stash space) by the various season challenges are not sufficient reason for me to even try.
So I focus my efforts instead on personal advancement and making my hero stronger. Which I was able to do this season even beyond my own expectations.
Besides, you make it sound like my not getting past Slayer is a bad thing?
I pointed it out merely because I presume that you’ve probably already satisfied all of the tasks necessary for Destroyer and Conqueror, but they won’t unlock until you complete Champion. Heck, I bet the only thing you’d be missing for Guardian would be the third Conquest, and Curses! is pretty easy to do. Just seemed a shame for you to not get the stash tab for want of doing the set dungeon, was all.
I recall the Monk dungeon you’re on about from months ago when I decided to get the Mastery done for all of the dungeons. It’s a stinker from what I remember. I ended up having to take a load of gear off, so that my damage was low enough not to accidentally kill stuff.
However, if you swap out The Crudest Boots for Ice Climbers you can ignore the “don’t get frozen” thing completely. Change out your Bindings of the Lesser Gods for a different set of bracers, yellows, or even nothing in the slot so Cycloning doesn’t cause the mobs to take more damage.
I think I had to get my sheet damage to between 300-400K so that stuff stayed alive long enough to unleash the Mystics on them after Cycloning them together.
The remaining issue, of killing 100% of the mobs, can be helped by taking another hero into the dungeon with you. Once you’ve done the 5 mystic thingies, they can mash the remaining mobs. They don’t have to be using the same set. They don’t even have to be a Monk.
So, change boots, change bracers, remove jewellery, take a friend and you’d have it done in a few minutes (if you wanted).
Really, Meteorblade? While I appreciate your words, and they may indeed be of use to other players, you should know by now that I don’t play cookie-cutter builds.
It’s of no importance if this prevents me from acquiring an unneeded extra stash slot (half of my Season 18 stash is still empty!), or cosmetic I might never use (I only ever use the Collectors Edition Wings).
It is, however, the prime reason why I’m stoked about Diablo 4 and the developer choice to again promote “play-your-own-way” by making sets less important than legendary items.
you should know by now that I don’t play cookie-cutter builds.
Did you miss the part of my post where I said that dungeon is best done with 300-400K damage? It’s literally easier to do the less gear you have, the less optimised your gear / build are, i.e. exactly how you play.
You’ve completed Slayer, which means you completed the set dungeon, but didn’t master it. That means you’ve got the 6-piece armour set available. Your hero could literally wear just those six pieces and a yellow crafted daibo and do that dungeon successfully. Run around, cyclone mobs into a group, release allies. The only “cookie cutter” requirements are to have cyclone strike and mystic ally on your bar. Choose any other 4 skills you like. Heck, the guides for this dungeon even suggest going into Paragon, resetting some tabs and not spending offensive points, i.e. it’s easier to do with less paragon.
That’s exactly how I got the mastery for this dungeon, i.e. just the six pieces, yellow crafted weapon, paragon points from offensive tab unspent, core points moved from DEX to VIT. It’s literally easier the worse your gear is, the lower your paragon is, the worse your build is.
