1.5.1 loading screen freeze and crash on the game

Hello everyone, after this latest patch 1.5.1 the game freezes on the loading screen or if by some miracle it makes me enter, as soon as I engage something the game crashes, I have everything updated, drivers etc, I have also analyzed and restored the game but nothing, does anyone know how to solve?

same for me crash on every loading screen or when dont crash, crash when i do portal town

Same issues. Black screen after character selection most of the times or freeze if I open inventory/map while playing.

just tried to move town via teleport and im stuck on loading screen

Same. Completely freezes and then disconnects me from the server

Same, not everytime but had it happen 3 times so far. Used to happen before too, but it’s more frequent now.

Same here, tried to join with the 2 chars I have in this season, game crashed on both every single time.

your bloody game doesn’t work

WTF blizzard you expect us to pay 100$ for a piece of shit?

Fix your bloody game, S5 has been clanky at best
long loading times, a lot of lag, previous season worked on my pc without lagging. game freezes after teleporting and now on top of it a huge patch for nothing just to make it worse

Same. Doesn’t work. Scanned and repaired three times, deleted blizzard folders and battle nat folder in the game folder, scanned and repaired again, tried with a different internet connection. Just freezes if I even get into the game, then wait for 5 minutes to tell me I have been disconnected.

  1. -disableds command is in battle.net.
  2. Disable the Battle.net after lauch the game is in settings.
  3. Look here for more :
    Game crashing after Nvidia Update - #31 by lorelai-1228 - Technical Support - Diablo IV Forums but focus at :
    a) Change croma effects from 0 to 1 (config)
    b) Ssd
    c) Disable crossplay.
    d) Disable reflex if don’t use DLSS, and thy CPU is not powerful.

Also ye can try :

  1. Add the game to the exceptions of an antivirus program so that it doth not scan it in real time.
  2. Disabling third-party programs such as discord or disabling acceleration. It is also available on the battle.net. Sometimes it helpeth.
  3. High settings instead ultra.
  4. Change the fog and fur setting to medium no matter what Pc ye have.
  5. Enable run the game as administrator in the exe file settings.
  6. By default, Nvidia, for example, hath an adaptive energy mode in the settings, at least set it to optimal. Seems to me personally that the optimal one worketh better.
  7. If ye have vertical synchronization, enable triple buffering in an video card settings, the game doth not have it. Personally, I enabled both parameters in the card and disabled VS in the game.

Same here… My game wasn’t running perfect before. I have rtx 3080 but older cpu and 16 gb 4000 mhz ddr4 ram. I had crashes several times this season alone when I try to open inventory in a crowded space (at world bosses etc.), but after this patch I literally cannot play the game. If I can log in, as soon as I engage with something game crashes and messes up my whole system (weird visual glitches and artifacts on second monitor). Please Blizzard acknowledge and address this issue.

Same issue here…PC is trying to load the game after char selection page but eventually it crashes.I updated graphic card driver but didn’t work.

started game wouldn’t load kept crashing, I ran the scan and repair feature which didn’t come up with any issues, I eventually get in the game which takes a while to load sometimes timing out, but then it crashes when loading a new area or screen freezes in middle of game play and I end up dead. please fix this as of yet I 'm not even seeing recognition from blizzard of the problems.

Offline mode please. All the issues come from being online. The devs have already confirmed the largest percentage of players play solo.

This is also happening to me. Tried an older NVIDIA driver as well but still crashing while trying to load into infernal hordes.
