…is a crime against humanity.
I honestly couldn’t care less about ‘‘well inflation’’ etc…
Guild Wars 2 MMO game, released 4th expansion with the pricetag of 35 euros. 10 euros less than first expansion which was released 8 years ago. Second and third expansions were also 35 euros.
They also have $$ shop in game, which players NEVER complained about because prices of outfits in game are available to everyone. 8 to 10 euros for outfit + you dont even have to spend real money for it,because you can always sell gold and convert it to gems ($$ shop currency)
Guild Wars 2 with each expansion released more and more stuff, and inbetween expansions, you had the additional stuff FOR FREE (if you log in within certain period)
Isn’t the whole point of making a brand new game to attract people and keep them around,or D4 is whole new level of doing a business which is lie to players until they purchase the product and then ignore them until next expansion>?

Guild wars 2 is a terrible game. Omw, bug city, or more like Bug planet as in the film Starship Troopers.
If people want to trash D4 and use another game as justification i.e. D4 is trash because ‘insert perfect game’s name here’ please don’t go the GW direction.
Diablo 4 is bad as well, even worse than GW2 because you actually have lots of stuff to do in GW2. Diablo 4 pvp was a MASSIVE fail,GW2 pvp had pro league running for 5 years…
Fractals over NM dungeons anytime, raids were actually good in GW2 at one point. Strike missions are actually decent.
What does D4 have?Helltides?NM dungeons?

That’s not the point.
You cannot reason that something is bad because something else is good. Is a BMW bad because a Mercedes is good?
This is false reasoning.
Each product must be judged on it’s own merits. You can trash D4 all day long but then you need to substantiate with correct reasoning.

Agreed. It is always better to judge things without comparison.
D4 really was over priced. Even with the discount now it is still too much money for what you get. The first 50 levels were okay with the story first time round but there really isn’t anything of worth after that.
I personally won’t be buying another Blizzard game until it is finished being created (so years after release) , thoroughly reviewed (so I know exactly what to expect) and heavily discounted.

Honestly if a game costs me £500 - £1,000 over ten years I’m okay with that IF it kept me happy for a lot of those ten years. That’s still less then a subscription to a game like Runescape/WoW etc.
If it’s the only game I’m playing that’s basically a new game a year, whereas without a game I can play over and over again I might need to buy multiple games a year to stay entertained.
That was my hopes for Diablo 4. Sadly I don’t even find it marginally fun and the campaign didn’t click for me, not sure how they can fix the storyline/gameplay in a way that removes the nightmare thought of trying it again.
I think I’ll be watching the expansions on Youtube.
I always get the impression that they cut or hold out on content and then try to sell it. I don’t believe in honest developers those days. As for games with tons of DLCs, like Paradox games, I don’t think they are worth the money. Developers those days are insane with the DLC stuff, some of the DLCs are not even close to the content that was in DLCs years ago.

hmmm… so riddle me this, how does guild wars 2 have a larger playerbase and continues to make more expansions?? do you think it might have something to do with the game actually being good? there being actual content past max level? MTX’s that are handled correctly?
The game makes money and sure people do complain about some stuff, im a GW2 player myself, not recently but ive a lot of hours in it.
As far as reasoning one game to another, guild wars 2 is the direct competitor to world of warcraft, if anything poe or grim dawn is the competitor to diablo 4, and yes you can compare them, when it comes to what you are going to spend your time on, i wont waste my time on a game that has no end of life plan, ill always spend my money on stuff that interests me.
I think in all honesty that your just clinging to a false hope of d4 being good, maybe in a few years it might be an ok to mediocre game but it will never be a great game.
I just hope you come to realise one day that the game that you have been white knighting for so long is not what you think it really is, or maybe your standards are just that low in which case i wish you all the best with this title.

It is not false reasoning. Everything is judged against something else to see if they are bad or good.
Ever compared items in a shop to see if one brand is offering more value of your money? BMW can be considered bad exactly if other car brands are better in terms of quality and/or price.
If D4 would be the only game out there, you’d have nothing to compare it with and more likely say it’s a wonderful game for the given price tag. But since with that price or less people have found games giving them more value, they rate D4 as bad.
While i agree with you, you can still use it as comparrison (BMW vs Mercedes ect).
How old is GW2 now? its so much better (not perfect tho).
One should think that a company like Blizzard could make a game that better than an 11 year old game. Imagine buying a brand new over hyped Ferrari, and its engine is not better than a Fiat Panda (nothing bad about Pandas btw. i have had one my self).
but thats not what you would expect from a Ferrari, especially not if it has the Ferrari price tag.

You are such a lost fanboy. It’s funny to see. I mean even if Blizzard would shit into your kitchen you’d praise them for the great product they gave you.
