I get the Fenris error every time I enter the game. When I teleport anywhere in the game, it throws me to the desktop.
I got this error when I was playing with an Xbox controller connected to my PC via a cable. After days of frustration, I checked the log files and saw some lines with device connection, etc. I tried to connect my controller via Bluetooth and it solved the problem. So if you are using a controller it doesn’t hurt to try.
I connect to Battle.net via my computer. There was nothing like this before. I mean, I reached level 100 for a long time without any problems. But now it happens especially when teleporting or in nightmare dungeons. I don’t know what I should do.
I was using a controller but playing from my computer. But it seems you are using keyboard and mouse so your problem is not about it. I tried to update my GPU drivers and re-install the game but it didn’t help but maybe it will work for you. If it doesn’t fix it there is some files named _FenrisDebug.txt under your game directory. Maybe you can figure out what it is the exact problem by checking those files and reading error logs
I’m waiting for an explanation from Blizzard. These didn’t happen out of the blue, they started after the updates. I’m not a computer expert. I’m saying it again, Blizzard needs to address this issue.
I only started to get the fenris error since the ray tracing update. And didn’t get it often at first. I have never oc. I tried al the things including reinstalling windows 11, updating bios (battlenet wouldnt even launch), rolling back bios. Driver uninstall tool, after hours of scouring the forums i have solved the crash. A poster was talking about clock speeds and just keeping system steady (i don’t rember the technospeak) essetinially that the higherend gpu’s are running too fast for the game. So first i just tried to dc .005v wouldn’t even launch game. Same thing when i tried to oc .005 v. So then I’m thinking stability hmmmm what’s this other feature i have with oc software… POWERSAVER so i turned it on. NO MORE FENRIS. Back to ultra everything ray tracing on. So give it a shot.
