Abysmal performance, Game files corrupted, horrible beta experience

Hello, I already posted on the forum yesterday because of the abysmal performance I’m getting on a PC that meets recommended hardware, This morning I figured I’ll reboot my pc, close all background applications in the hope of being able to run this game. Now a new issue popped up. Diablo 4 has corrupted files run scan and repair.
So I run scan and repair, try again. Lo and behold, Diablo 4 has corrupted files run scan and repair.

My experience so far with D4 has been the worst beta experience I’ve ever had with any game, and at this point I’ve decided I will not purchase it. Thanks for saving me some money blizzard. I’ve not been happy with your company for a long time and this weekend was the one chance you had to pull me back in. Well done.

As far as I understand from the information i gathered…

Some of the “preformance” issues is because of the amount of people playing and diablo servers.

It was really poor on my computer too, and lowering settings did not improve preformance, so more likely a server issue for the most part.

What turned me away from playing this was that my GTX 2060 was reaching OVER 80c temp… almost killed my gpu!

Hey thanks for the reply, You don’t have to worry about that temp it’s still within the safe operating temperatures for that video card. RTX 2060 maximum safe temperature is 88 celsius (allthough in general they’ll rarely go past 76ish). I’m reinstalling the game as we speak to give it one more chance. Diablo 1 got me into gaming all those years back so I really WANT to love this game, its just making it very hard for me rn.

Hope you enjoy it, gameplay feels solid enough.
Something feels like it’s going to be lackluster over all. (full release)
But not sure, can’t really put my finger on what’s missing or wrong for me…

Good luck to you tho!!

Thank you, and to you too. One tip if you’re really concerned about frying your gpu, you can download if you haven’t got it already MSI afterburner or another clocking tool and turn down your temperature limit. This way the software won’t allow your gpu to run that hot.

“Game files are corrupted” means you have not enough ram (32 gb or someth) for “high” textures. Turn down to medium and ram consumption goes from 22+gb to 5
Alao visuals does not change anyway

Thank you I’ll try this, Just reinstalled the entire game and still got the corrupted warning so you’re probably right.

It’s weird. Last weekend was so much better. Even with hdr 4K was still holding 80-90k that weekend. This weekend dipping to 40 all the time. So either necro is pooched or it’s a server thing. I guess maybe the new shiny nvidia driver is trash or they made some weird change.

Sadly tho overworld town or dungeon all see dips. Big oof if it launches like this.

It seems turning down to medium textures fixed the issues I’m having. It’s ridiculous actually in game they say you need 8gb to run high textures so I’d have never figured out what the problem is without this thread. Was very close to just giving up. Not a good look IMO.

I think it’s funny when people expect a beta test to run like release. Lol

Ye. Good thing it fixed stuff for you.
Still the game is far from finished n many aspects
