Thanks for posting this! i was trying to figure out what went wrong with my settings. But its the forced Chroma Ab from the game itself. its hard to enjoy the game visually and it feels really bad to play like this.
Should be easily fixable after the 40gb day one Patch, isnt it Blizzard?
This has me getting headaches, there is a circle around my character which is in focus and sharp. But in all corners of my screen it is blurry and weird. I found no way of disabling this. and it hurts my eyes because they constantly get drawn to the corners and try to focus. I want a clean and crisp picture please. You can also see it in character selection menu and ingame in wardrobe. I thought is was some kind of depth of field and chromatic abomination.
Ye, Chromatic Aberration is getting stronger at the edges of the screen, mostly the corners. It imitates a camera lens effect. It would only really make sense to make this effect if you want to simulate looking through camera. But for some reason this crap is in almost every modern game to make it more u̶g̶l̶y̶ cinematic. The game also has a vignette effect (darkening at corner of screen), for the same reason I guess. I personally hate all these “cinematic” effects. Just give me a clean picture please… or at least the option to disable it.
I even tried to contact tech support about it, I just got a standard email about crashing. I really want to get this seen. Because it is really anoying to the point a I cannot play for longer then half a hour.
Again, please add an option to disable these post-processing effects. It ads nothing to the game except eye strain, worst performance and annoyance. Cant play until its fixed.
Sometimes you really have to scratch your head. Who the hell thought this would be any good? Why implement this? What an awful decision (or quality control).
I don’t like to complain too often because it seems that is all that’s left of the Internet but stupid changes like this no one asked for need to be called out for what they are: a stupid mistake.
However, mistakes can be made as long they are going to be fixed, right? Good that there’s a fix on the way, I can’t really enjoy the game like before, it’s so god damn distracting and simply looks so much worse!
