Altars of Lilith all claimed - welcome back booster - how can it be undo?

How can undo the welcome back booster, I do not want all the altars been claimed while I did not do it !!!

Don’t worry, it’s nothing but a chore. You don’t loose any lore or insight into the world by not having completed them yourself. It’s literally just tagging some statues on the map for some permanent realm bonuses.

I do not like to have all the statues claimed, I want to claim them by myself !!! that boost messed up all the game, how can I revert it?

Pretty sure you can’t. Maybe contact support and see if they can & are willing to reset them for you?

Peak game design xD
Had to farm them on Both Softcore and Hardcore + It didn’t save the progress on your HC char if it died before season 1.
so now you just get it for free? hahahaha

It’s a trend, really. They insist they know better, turns out the players were right all along and they try to bandaid fix it later on - which turns out to be another slap in the face of the majority of the players.
It’s like they’re trying to fix a massive dam full of holes with duct tape.

It was still a fun thing to do searching them every now and then. When you had only a few left in the zone it became really tedious to find them… but every now and then with a new character you found one you were missing and damn… that was nice. “yes! only 1 missing from this zone then it’s done”

I was also missing a few / each zone except Fractured Peaks which I did see the trouble finding everything.

So yeah I’d like the statue progress reverted as well.

I understand, some people enjoy horizontal progression. Sadly, you’d have to contact support and ask them if it is possible & they are willing to reset your progress.

I have bad news, i asked them because i did the terrible mistake of completing the “boost” quest thinking it was another game feature, never expected the altars of lilith would be all account wide completed forever. I liked the idea of finding things by myself, but now i can’t. A gentle GM told me they can’t do nothing about it because they aren’t allowed to do such changes. I understand the frustration, it seems something silly or just nonsense but after you pay for the game to play it as you want, getting the dumb boost really ruined it for me.

I am having the same issue (Im playing on console but it doesn’t look like it matters much).

What the quest does is super misleading, especially to a new player like me… and it completely ruins the fun: I can’t even create a new character and get the normal Diablo 4 experience again now (altars unlocked account-wide).

Have you guys found a workaround?

There is no workaround, unless Blizzard themselves revert it. It’s either that, or move to hardcore and don’t take the boost there.
I doubt hardcore is the solution you’re looking for though…
Maybe if there’s enough players in your situation and more request it they’ll actually do something; it’s Activision though, so I wouldn’t hold my breath.

this is crazy, i click boost and it just finishes the game for me, puts 50 skills into the character i don’t even know what any of them do… I wanted to learn and have fun with the character, this is so dumb. Worst idea ever. You should have the player run through the game at least once before you literally finish their whole character progression. I’m so mad about this

How can i use this boost? can i use it in Hardcore? so i can play hardcore later?
one thing that stops me from hardcore is that i only did all the chorse in Softcore so if i want to play HC i need to do all altairs and rewards for paragons

The boost does not work on hardcore.

I also found myself doing this stupid thing, and it ruined my exploration too… It’s really stupid. In addition, the game forces you to go on this boost quest, I had seen a “tutorial” message saying that there was this kind of boost that existed, but then I forgot that it was linked to this NPC in the inn, and since the game automatically directs you to this quest every time you finish one other quest, I ended up believing that this quest was important to do, and, 1: I had to redo a character because my lvling was now broken, and 2: I now have all the altars of lillith unlocked on all my new characters, and I never wanted that…

Thanks for breaking my first game of a game that I paid for, and expensive too.
So yes, I should have been more careful, but the quest is in purple like all the “important” things to unlock at the start of the game, it’s confusing…

Damn, came here looking for the same answer. I had thought that I could pick just the weapons from the boost since there were three “items” to choose in the dialog box. I was just playing for the first time and thought it would be cool to have the gear for once I was leveled, but I didn’t want it to complete the whole thing for me. Totally ruined my playthrough. And then to top it off, starting a new character doesn’t give me a clean “from scratch” game. Really short-sighted way to implement that boost.

Players claim for boost, and when they have it, they claim not to have boost…

Same issue, don’t get it why they didn’t make this a toggle during character creation if you want to have everything reset for that single new character esp if it’s a season one… How do I complain about the chores if I never did them?!

Unbelievable. They made the boost appearing like a normal quest and when you click it there is not even a yes or no button to confirm. Damn you you ruined our experience. We kill a few enemies and we get a level, all altars are claimed. Seriously what the god dam shie where you thinking. I am beyond frustrated. That’s why games like baldur’s gate will always will be on top of you. Dam you seriously

I’m pretty sure these are not the same players and in fact I have never really seen any requests for a boost.

Blizz saw player numbers dropping rapidly and had to make one of these hasty decisions to put a boost in the game and … made it pretty sloppy looking like a regular quest offering some items as a reward to choose from.

Generally in WoW these boosts have been in the character selection screen where you could more easily list the things you are rewarded… for example I think there was no mention about Lilith statues in the quest completion… ?

Another thing with this whole account wide system they like to do is that now after Expansion I have to try to figure out how to assing paragon points with other characters who have not really earned them. So lets say I complete 1 dungeon… I reward myself with 1-2 paragon points etc.

Why not a toggle in the character menu what are the things you want to account share. I would like to disable the reown, statues and paragon at least.
