Any news on a patch pre-download?

Hi,
Is there any info out there (I can’t find any) for a pre-download for the patch?

There is no scheduled release time that we know of, for the pre-download. Patches are usually available for download on the same day as the patch goes live, maybe 1-2hrs before scheduled release. I do wish they would extend the pre-download window by a couple of days, since everyone downloading at once usually result in slow downloads.

I think most agree to this. Specially nice when you are sitting on bad internet. Now I am in a hotel for a few days, it got very limited internet speed and I am fairly sure downloading this patch will take hours… YEY :slight_smile:

My option in the bnet launcher to “check for updates” on Diablo 4 is greyed out, maybe they are starting to do something … :slight_smile:

usually 30 min before patch

I think they fudged. Previous 3 seasons I could pre load one hour early. This time, NADA.

26 mins till season start and still can’t pre-load. Looks like we gotta wait till the hour to download at this point

why dont they do it an hour before so now download for the slower connection will take an hour when others will be playing. great

I gotta cook when the season launches anyway, but I would have liked the ability to preload beforehand so its good to go after dinner XD. If it gets to 6 o’clock and the patch still isn’t available to download, I might not be able to play until 8 o’clock at this rate XD

Minutes before and still nothing on the launcher - PS5 is downloading for people though so you folks should be ready to go!

well been spamming check for updates and saying game up to date but now the option is greyed out, only change ive had lol

its greyed out coz it needs seconds to refresh so you can press again

There is counter on the launcher… says 4 mns . you will then be able to download it . sucks for the preload but counter indicates when it will start

yes of course but u can usually pre-load, this is what we’re saying
