I was stoked to play this game on release, even paid for the early access and all, and when the game came out, i found out that they had taken away the option to make the game fullscreen, wich worked on the beta perfectly, and thus, I could not change the ingame resolution.
For work related reasons i have a 4k resolution screen, and my machine cannot run this game on 4k whitout temperatures rising too much.
I am aware that you can change your whole system display resolution to fix this, but this is a pain in the ass to do every single time i want to just boot up the game, and it is quite inconvinient, so I decided to wait for it to get fixed rather than play the game uncomfortably, it is a small bug and they surely will fix it quickly, right?
Well it has been almost 5 months and they havent done a thing, im not even sure they are aware of the problem.
Do i just give up?
I might just do the story having to do the desktop display thing, but im for sure not playing daily having to fiddle with my pc for such a stupid reason.
Have already skipped season 1, and it likely wont be fixed for s2, it is such a dissapointing thing man, i loved this series since D2

I’ve been wondering about this as well, I really don’t understand why they took the option away. It’s a standard thing in PC gaming.

DirectX12, which D4 uses, does not support exclusive fullscreen, as it no longer has any benefits.
Regarding your temps/resolution request, use the resolution scaling setting.

This solved it for me, tough the option that allows you to set the resolution % down was not selected by default (even when it is actually called default), game runs now on ultra around 55º, while on 4k it ran at 75-80º on low.
