Before getting the game about half a year ago, I read about Sorcerer being extremely weak several times.
I still tried it, but put it away around level 30. When I already forgot there were talks about it being so weak, I returned to finish the game a few weeks prior to season 4.
I can’t compare the levelling process to other classes, but the firewall and meteor setup I used during levelling felt rather sluggish and didn’t feel powerful at any point. But that’s besides the point.
In the endgame I sit at below 1m damage crits and ~ 1.5m crits from Xfal’s eruption. And based on my observations, it’s more or less the same for all Sorcerers out there.
Meanwhile Necromancers hit 8-16m casually. Maybe even more. The 16x times damage difference alone is unbelievably insane, but they are ultra tanky on top of that.
Barbs just delete everything the moment they see it. On top of being very tanky again.
Don’t know how the mob killing goes for rogues, but at least they can dish out several millions of damage.
Druid also do several millions but they also have plenty of AOE.
Sorcerers have the lowest damage and lowest durability.
I still can’t believe a class this bad could exist in any game.
