Little feedback:
Please add a auto-run function into the game.
Its a really small addition, but it feels so much better instead of holding LMB or perma-klicking.
Would be way better to just press a key on your keyboard and your character is following the cursor as if you would hold LMB until you press the hotkey again.
PS: That, besides some random FPS drops while nothing happens are the only problems or negativ feedback I have so far! Awesome beta, cant wait for full release. I was hyped, and it seems like it at least matches my optimistic expectation.

This is a feature I would love to see as well, hopefully there`s time to add it for the full release.
This is literally no efford.
I could makro it with logitechs GHUB in a second. They only have to assign a key to equal hold-LMB with toggle.
So I really hope they see this asked more often to get attention to it. Its a gamechanger, even its a so small QoL improvement.
Yup 100% agree with you guys
Wait and see
Just getting into Diablo games this is a deal breaker. I know there’s software where you can lock a bind down but it makes a hugeeee diference and should be simple setting to implement in a patch hope they do it.
If they stumble upon this request more often, Im sure they will add it.
I send them the feedback via the feedback menu in the beta version of the game.
Probably the best you do that to next weekend in the beta.
The more often it is requested, chances get higher of getting it into the game.
Yep. Played D4 beta for just one day, now my whole forearm hurts from having to spend most of 8 hours holding the left mouse button. Playing PC games all day every day for 15 years catches up with you in ways you don’t expect.
Maybe consult a physician about that.
Especially if you also feel numb fingers (I-III, median nerve / CTS) or have a numb feeling on the back of your hand and thumb (radial nerve)…
Nothing really bad, but should be observed to avoid chronicle nerve damage or muscle dystrophie.
Sorry about the offtopic, but its my job to run diagnostics for neurological disfunctions. ^^
wasd walking - problem solved

Not really, because autorun would still be more comfortable than using wasd, because you only need to move your mouse when toggled on.
Thats also more precise than wasd.
Was missing it myself as well, was searching in the options I thought I’m blind that’s why I don’t see it but unfortunately nope.
We would certainly need it for long travels!

Autorun is a must and makes a huge difference. Most people use gaming mice which come with software. In this software there is usually an option to make a toggle macro to mimic autorun, just google your relevant software on how to do this and you will enjoy this game tenfold on PC.

Indeed welcome addition! I’d like to see it implemented as well. Hopefully they can add it as a quality of life improvement to the game for launch

I really hope so, still my personal most wanted feature added. x)
Tried setting up a macro with Ghub for toggling leftklick, but Ghub cant do that without bugging out. Its possible to set up a macro that toggled a keyboard key instead, for example “L” and setting “L” to movement ingame, but I dont want to risk suspension or penalties for using third party programs for macros in D4.
Even if it doesnt give you an advantage and its probably not detectable because the macro is too simple, I dont like the feeling of dont knowing for sure.
Just make it like D3 and have it so you can bind mousewheel up/down to move.
As some sort of work around I bound “force moving” to circumflex. Auto-run would still be better but I prefer holding down a keyboard key for longer travels instead holding LMB.
