yeah i get a Blackscreen and game gets stuck after loading screen … yesterday all was fine.

Second this. Please fix this game that we paid for.
This is really frustrating - I’ve kids and work that need my attention so I often have to put a lot of effort plan an evening of gaming. So, when you **** up like this, you literally spoil the whole day. Of course I’m not alone in this, your sloppiness disrespects a lot of people.
Also keep in mind that you want us to spend another 50€ for that expansion…

I have the exact same problem. Running on Win 10, AMD chipset and RTX 2070 SUPER.
EDIT: I was able to start the game now by simply waiting when the screen turned black and after a long while it started. Might be the server isn’t so overloaded now…
Yup - same. Mostly the game hangs with a black screen or occasionally with the loading screen before entering the actual game world or teleporting to a waypoint. Game becomes unresponsive and I must force close it.
Edit: might be down to game or server instability. I finally managed to play several quests of the new seasonal line with my eternal character. Was initially very unstable and even opening the map would make the game hang for several seconds. Perhaps too many players in the same starting area of the new quest line.
Yep, same.
After I hit the Play button on Bnet the screen goes black, I can hear the music but nothing else happens, it just stays like that forever.
I have tried to mess with the local files, deleting dstorage.dll, disabling Windows Defender and nothing seems to work.
Even rebooted several times my PC, tried to start the game without nothing opened, having my graphic’s drivers up to date and nothing.
Installed the HD assets and nothing.
Reinstalled the game and nothing.
I have stopped playing after the first week of S4 and was looking forward to start S5, but it has been several hours just looking at a black screen with music :(.
Does anyone else have a tip or suggestion that might help me?
Same here. Just cant play.
This is a bit weird, but I found out a workaround.
I removed all USB devices from my PC tower except for mouse and keyboard and it worked.
Was using a USB extension hub and it seems that was the issue.

It finally worked for me now. I just waited a long time on the black screen and the game started eventually. Might be the servers aren’t so overloaded now in Europe.
Maybe it was coincidence, but it started working when i logged first time after patch as a eternal character and then switched when i saw that everything works there
disable antivirus couple of minutes or hour to be able to log in

Anyone got a fix for this, dealing with this bullshit, runs smooth till after i select my char then ill either get an infinite load screen, or load then black screen
me too, blizzard can support us??? i didn’t have 8 free daily hour. I just want login and PLAY not WAIT
