I though that Blizzard wanted to players stay away from sites like DJSP or Discord trade channels? Yet trading rares is not made possible in game? Why not have some area in the map to have player trade zone.
Kinda annoying that trading has been downgraded and then game still requires to use outside Discord channels for trading…
Yeah, I won’t bother trading rares. This game has no trading system, which is a shame. Let’s hope it will be added at some point but it needs a lot more than random rares to work.
Yeah they have these insane big player city hubs. Why not have some bazaar areas for playes? It feels so empty…
Simple. The devs are of a generation broken by social media and cannot imagine there is any other mechanism available to trade… because…why!?

In D3, there was an auction house, and it ended in a spectacular disaster.
You are right, but only RMT was a problem (and yeah, that was a serious one).
A site similar to POEs trade interface (even better if implemented in game) would be great.
So the better thing is that trading is hided away in some random Discords? Does not make a sense. When you have a problem you dont hide it away or ignore you innovate and fix it…
Lets not forget that D3 as a game was a complete and utter mess, the auction house was not the root of its own disaster.
The game was not designed around any currency that carried any value so theres no economy and if you dont have an economy… an auction house will be a mess. It all comes down to game design.
Thats why items are needed with value. Gems should be more than just what they are now. Also runes, jewels and charms! This game needs more interesting things to loot.
Also rare quest items that randomly drop. Someone even mentioned rare quest items that goblins could drop.
Do we have to wait PoE 2, to trade ? It’s a shame.
