Blood-bathed Aspect missleading tool tip

What part in here

  • Blood Surge’s nova echoes again after a short delay, dealing [60-70%] less damage. -

prevents

  • If an enemy is damaged by Blood Surge’s nova while you are Healthy, then gain 1 stack of Overwhelming Blood. When you have 5 stacks of Overwhelming Blood, your next Blood Surge Overpowers. -

from happening for the second nova?!

The second nova will never even consume any of the forced overpower buffs.
Given that in this game the baseline power of the skills doesn’t matter almost at all, this aspect is crap, unless it speeds up stacking the forced overpower buff.

ye that one doesnt count.

neither does minion novas if you have the neck.

but its still good since as far as i can see the second one overpowers too i think the minion ones also does.

hard to see since its 25000 numbers at once, but my 100% overpowered surges does insane dmg,

I tested, in controlled conditions, specifically to look for overpower with forced overpower conditions.
The second never overpowers. It just deals damage.

I asked the reason why, not that it doesn’t do it. I can see it doesn’t do it.

but i dont think there is that much else to use then?

First, thanks for the research into the topic. Blood-bathed Aspect was my go to when i tried to build my necro.
Second, let me add some totally unrelated salt on the injury if anyone is interested in building a blood necro like i was.

Blizzard made further adjustments to destroy anything blood build related.

  1. Starlight Aspect
Gain [10-20] of your Primary Resource for every 25% of your Life that you Heal.

Doesnt work with overheal so basically useless if you are not in tigh spots.
Also note that when you are not healthy your blood build basically cease to exist since it turns off Rathma’s Vigor, Coalasced Blood, Tides of Blood, Acolyte’s Hemorrage and Aspect of Untimely Death. Long story short this ring has zero sinergy with the rest of the concept.

  1. Aspect of Potent Blood
While at full Life, [Blood Orbs] grant [10-20] Essence.

Since the first ring aspect doesnt work it seems like a no brainer to use this one instead. Yeah forget it. Full life means full life and fortify is not an absorb so you will have a hard time making this ring work.

  1. Mother’s Embrace
If a Core Skill hits 5 or more [Enemies], [20 - 40%] of the Resource cost is refunded.

Your last resource oriented option with this build. Doesnt work with the screen wide overpower(blue) damage. Works fine in melee but that is hardly an option deep into endgame.
^

Probably the biggest problem is that you would assume that this is a deep in shit tank build that can spam skills in between 20 elites.
Nope, since necro doesnt have any cc immune you are dead the moment you find a cold elite pack.
Monsters ignore skeletons without a problem so you cant work around them.
Overpower damage is unreliable and totally random. With 1400% OP at lvl88 i deal barely any damage.
For the reasons mentioned above^ you are always low on essence which destroys the gameplay experience.

Blizzard have some serious balancing ahead of them.

How much hp do you have rn?

Regarding blood bathed, its only there for on hit procs. To be fair if you get it off a good imprint it will do 30% less dmg instead of 70% less. Im considering testing wihtout this as it consumes an offensive aspect slot in my build with only a marginal benefit.

It looks like it was meant to count towards the overpower cycle of blood surge, but it somehow dosent which dosent make any sense with the current wording in game.
