u buffed the drop of living steal from chest but nerfed cinder from monster in 30 min of hell tide i was not abble to get 300 cinder great job blizzard

I think the latter is a bug, I noticed that yesterday I was able to get a lot more cinders while it was already dropping 5 steel.
It’s a bug I noticed before, sometimes some helltide have crappy drop only for a few people though, the other person in my group did not experience this.

I did two Helltides this morning & managed to get well over 600 Cinders in each one. So they have definitely not nerfed the drop rate.

I can confirm that the cinders drop rate has not been reduced. In fact, in my personal experience, it seems to have increased, though this is purely subjective.
If you have at least 1 Alt then farming 20 Steel in 30 - 40 mins is easily do-able.
Agreed in some zones the drop rate seems worse but there will always be optimal areas/routes to farm. What I tend to do is farm 1200 on my fastest, hand in 600 then swap to my alt and hand in the other 600. The entire process takes about 30 - 40 mins.
Its a bug. Relloging few times helps. Sometimes 1 relog sometimes 3 but at some point it will go back to normal drop.

Its definitely a bug. I experienced this yesterday and today. Drop rate was less than a half and it was only on one character - i started helltide on my necro and the amount of cinders was normal, then i relloged to my barb and drop rate was horrific - less than a half just like yesterday. So far it happened twice on the same char.
