Still bugged. Please fix.
As with others, it’s still bugged. I’ve tried everything in this thread and nothing is working. Tried reentering for 40 minutes straight, and that wall is always able to be attacked.
I had the same issue and what I did was kept entering and exiting the cave until I saw the event right outside the cave. For some reason I believe the bug is tied to this event. I completed the event, went back inside the cave, and the wall was no longer attackable and I could do the quest.
Still very Bugged, I’ve tried everything, its the end of a quest chain, its driving me mad. Blizzard pls fix.

I exited and re-entered like 50 times - still bugged. Blizzard need to fix this 
Tried everything in this post, leaving the game, restarting the quest, clearing the event outsite, none worked for me, so yeah still bugged.
I honestly don’t believe this is hard to fix for them and it’s already been a week…
It’s really annoying
Tried every suggestion there possibly is and none of the work arounds work.
I rode past the event outside the cave, entered cave without dismounting, didn’t wait for speech and ran to barricade. I’m not sure any of this related or it was just coincidence but this was what I did when quest worked for me in my 4th try. Hope it helps.
Can we at least get an acknowledgment that this exists in your JIRA somewhere? It’s been a week, and the quest still doesn’t work
Same here, still bugged and I’ve tried every trick mentioned here for about an hour. Shame, good questline otherwise!
FINALLY found a way to complete the quest using Atroxes method of clearing out the cave, exit game to character select screen , then enter again.
You will start in main hub city of Dry Steppes.
I went back to the cave and the wall was not longer attackable, and after i talked with Ealda the quest finally progressed en is complete now.
RE-entering the cave back and forth does NOT reload that cave instance… only the outside world…
So what worked for me is this:
1 . Go inside the cave
2. If wall is attackable, destroy wall, lure a enemy to the NPC
3. Lure that same enemy with the NPC to the inside of the cave
4. Kill all enemies
5. Exit game to character select screen
6. I swithced from World Tier 4 to World Tier 3 on this screen, then Start game
7. Go back to the cave, go inside, check if the wall is attackable
8. For me on that point i could NOT attack the wall anymore
9. Talk to the NPC and the quest will continue.
The ONLY way the quest will continue is when you enter the cave and the wall is NOT a object to attack, then the quest is in the right state.
But to trigger the case for it is tricky.

Did not work for me. Tried other stuff as well. Just abandoned and moved on.
TOGETHER WE ARE THE MOUNTAIN THAT CANNOT FALL!!! Still bugged move on… dont waste time trying to fix it.

i also did try everything i could find here. Nothing worked. I just want to complete all Regions by 100%… Blizzard please
