The miniboss Mahjoob in the sidequest “The only cure” is way overtuned, and nearly impossible to kill on worldtier 3, his leech abilities heal him to full health in a splitsecond. Way harder than anything else i encountered in worldtier 3, this cant be intentional.

It is intentional, and Blizz has no intention of fixing it. This is a quest that’s meant to gatekeep progress from melee classes.
Yeah, not the most life-threatening enemy I’ve encountered, but definitely the hardest to kill.
He glows red just before he leeches life, you are supposed to stun him and/or avoid his attacks until it fades. (The same goes for any monster with ‘Vampiric’)
As far as I am aware all classes have at least one solid crowd control skill. Use it.
