The very first monster upon entering the infernal hordes, Desecator (Aether fiend), is currently bugged. The damage from one of his attacks is seriously overtuned to the point where you get One Shotted (instant death).
I had a very well geared level 100 barb with 50k life, 9.2k armor, 70 all res, and got insta killed by his attack, at an infernal horde level which I was doing comfortably (multiple runs).
The very same thing also happened to my brother which had even better gear than me. He was lvl 100 with mythic uniqes, 91K hp, 70 all res, 9.2K armor, damage reduction from shako and doombringer.
Please look into this because its impossible to run infernal hordes if you get one shotted by the first monster.
I noticed the same thing. The Aether Fiends are much stronger than their level would suggest.
I can run the pit 81+ with monsters that have level 180+, but the compass Tier 6 first monster can one shot me with each of his attacks.
I can survive the monsters and the waves, but the moment an aether fiend spawns and uses his fire bolts or fire zone or whatever, it’s insta death with zero chance to react.
Max armor, max all resists, 33k+ HP barrage ice rogue and nothing I do can get me past the waves due to the one shot mechanics of aether fiends.
I have end level gear, all masterworked to 8 and all but one with a greater affix.
happened to me too, definitely is a bug, I’m with a druid ulted in bear form with -24% damage reduction of the normal passive while in bear -20% damage reduction of the ult bear PLUS -25,5% of the ultimate passive while in bear, plus 80k hp, 70% all resists, and 40%+ damage reduction while fortified(with the grizzly rage you are always full fortifed) and I was one shoted by this same attack in the tier 3!!! compass
You ain the only 1 here too. It happens to me in T7 horde, when the whole screen is already filled with mobs, suddenly i got killed by a Desecator thats like at the edge of my screren, turns out his fireball hits me.
Then i went on to try T3 Desecator… Ta dah. dead in 1 shot.
This thing can barely take 20% of my barrier. But… Yeah. I got 110k+ life behind it, too… I tank it’s 3 fire bolts at once and I keep delivering my damage on hardcore. No problem… It’s not a bug. The problem is the the softcore mentality flooding allover the place…
I don’t care one shots that are expectable, what disturbs me is that sometime something pretty much invisible one shot me. If something is a threat I want to be able to see it. Because we shouldn’t be expected to stack health furiously, it’s killing the game variety. I want to be able to play glass canon decently.
You are the kind of idiot that the internet is completely responsible for. No actual response to the query, just fake posturing with absolutely nothing to back it up. You might as well go out into the street, beat your chest, and claim you’re Tarzan. It would mean about as much as that response.
To the OP : Yes, something is wrong. I have 80% res (Tyrael’s + others), capped armour, 44% all damage reduction, can clear T5 with my eyes shut and STILL get 1-shot by the first guy in T6. It IS wrong and needs to be fixed.
not played HC ever? nothing is wrong with that his statement, Ive played since the series start HC, but stopped in d4, not cuz the mobs were scaring me, but connection is too unstable. try move or rebuild if it aint workin.
