Cant start game, fails to retrieve data

Game doesnt launch after a memory leak crash anymore.
Only get an Error that says “Diablo IV was unable to retrieve necessary data. Please check your network connection.”

Clearly my network works just the game doesnt.
please fix

edit:
complete uninstall and reinstalling the game seemed to fixed this problem for me, now i only get a game crash every 2 hours :slight_smile:

are you on win11? i got it on win11 but not on my other pc with win 10.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and there is always an error

I use a spare 2nd m2 disk when I try to open the games and diablo when i click play. my disk goes crash.

Call of Duty and World of Warcraft and even Steam games on the same disk do not work. When I enter the game folder, I click on the data section and Windows gives an error saying disk not found.

When I restart Windows, I open other games without any problems, I play etc. but when I want to open Diablo 4, the problem starts, I reinstalled it and it did not work.

I excluded it from defender and it did not work. Now someone wrote about it, I opened a topic about it, I will go back to Windows 10 and try again.

Because the disk cannot be bad. 100% disk health, I also did all the test programs, there is no problem with speed etc., no bad sectors.

I emptied the disk, formatted it and reinstalled it, it still did not work. There is a problem but it is either caused by Diablo or Windows 24h2

I did not have a problem in 23h2. I will write here again when I try it.

I have deleted everything and installed everything and still have this download error.
i have antivirus turned off

Try this , there is two files in the root folder of Diablo 4 , dstorage.dll and dstoragecore.dll cut them and put them else where hopefully that fix your issue

Suprisingly this worked for me. I wonder what those .dll files are for. I hope that it doesn’t download everytime I run Battle.Net
