There are 50 possible Affixes for the Amulet of the Druid (there are differrent numbers for each class and item)
nPr = n!/(n-r)!
n = 50 affixes
r = 4 affix per item
50!/(50-4)! = 50!/46! = 50x49x48x47 = 5527200 permutation for Druid Amulet Affixes
1 dungon may drop 4 amulets (ideal case) => 5527200 / 4 ~= 1:1381800 chance => 1381800 dungeon runs
(it may drops the same 4 affixes more than one time e.g more runs)
yes, it is possible to get your precious from the first one
|----------------------....-------------------|
1 ^ 1381800
your luck
1 dungeon is about 5 - 10 minutes, some dungeons drops more amulets, some drops less
7 minutes per dungeon => (select dungeon, kill/loot all enemies, destory the junk (e.g. all), teleport 2 times, …)
1381800 * 7 = 9672600 minutes
9672600 / 60 = 161210 hours
playing 10 hours per day
16121 days ~ playing 358 days per year (you have 6 days to play diablo III)
~45 years to loot 1 singe Amulet for your druid
at this point … after 45 years 358 days per year with 10 hours of playing per day you will have the AMULET, but
the range of it’s affix values are not increasing by the dungeon difficulty (TIER), e.g. you have to multiply the result
at least 5 - 10, maybe more times → 225 - 450+ years … but
you are lucky, there is the feature in the game where you can ROLL 1 Affix … so you can increase the value of one
There are 50 affixes and 3 options per roll
50x49x48 = 117600 => multiplied by the magic 5 - 10 (Affix value) => 588000 - 1176000 times
from that much dungeon runs you may have enoug money (hopefully) for the 588000 (best case) rolls
of course, you can have it from the 1st one
PS: You need 9 - 12 items (depends on your class), also you need specific Aspects on each,
Keep this in mind when you are planning to Switch builds to try something new/strogner from
the “infine” numbers of “great” variations.
Good luck
For the Blizzard: Let us “LOCK/MARK” all affixes that we like on an item, so the game can drop that combination
more often with different (better) values, and roll only on the rest.
