been running the game at 1440p ultrawide with all the settings maxed and its been smooth. very snappy, responsive ect (when it works)
cpu and gpu usage are generally pretty low with large some sharp spikes now and then but it didn’t stutter the game at all.
the map has lots of stuttering and freezing when you are dragging it to look around.
THEN
out of nowhere you run into situations where the client will crash. Its a beta yeah it happens.
however you then get stuck on the launcher in an infinite update that never progresses so you cant scan and repair because its waiting on the update process. so you close the launcher, rename your diablo folder to trick the launcher out of the update loop, close the launcher rename the folder back and you can then scan repair.
then after a repair scan the client randomly crashes on loading saying ‘corrupt data’ (even though you just scanned and it said its all good)
after 5-6 attempts it finally gets to the character screen. click on anything and the client crashes again.
10 attempts later you manage to get in the game, you open the map and click on the quest tab to see where you were up to. crash.
get in again, decide to just run without looking at the map crash as soon as you leave the area your in.
back to crashing on the character select screen
crash crash crash.
this garbage has worse stability than cp2077
get your act together blizz. if you are going to charge an absurd $110-155 aud (don’t get me started on the collectors box that doesn’t have the game LOL) it better bloody work well.
just another AAA company that’s going to release yet another a buggy unstable mess. game might be good in 2024.
Not had this issue. I reckon not many has as noone as chimed in.
no crashes in the previous beta or this. seems like an issue with your system
Sounds like you shoud run a thorough memory test and probably check your drives for bad blocks.
think this is a you problem… not a blizz problem
No issues here with any of the Betas and i did play in them all. From your description it sounds like your problem is local rather than server based. Just to be sure you might want to consider running some HW tests, test your disk drives and memory atleast.
Its my 3d workstation that I also game on. Its 100% stable no crashes no other issues in any other program or game I play on this system
3dsMax, Maya, Blender, Zbrush, ue4/5, Gaea, all my other steam games (most recent is RE4 and the SF6 demo) all function smooth with no issues at all.
diablo 4 in this beta is the only thing that is constantly throwing up errors left and right.
As other people said, the client has been rock solid for me in all the three betas I’ve played, not a single crash in almost 50 hours of gameplay.
Before claiming the software is unstable and accusing others while being an as**ole, fix that potato you use for gaming. You can’t even maintain a PC properly.
oh so I’m an “as**ole” now for airing my dislike for the $110+ pricing for a game that doesn’t work to a satisfactory standard to justify that price? look in the mirror mjordan79 with the name calling lol
I run a 3900x with 64gigs of ram and a 3080. like I said its my work computer I use for 3d art and game dev. hardly a potato.
and diablo4 is the only unstable thing on my system.
when it runs its great. 4k ultra and smooth as butter. then it crashes and the blizz launcher gets stuck in a never ending update followed by hours of nonstop crashes once you finally get back into the client. its def not the computer.
every other recent AAA game has been error free and smooth (like resident evil 4)
You’re obviously a troll. First you say you played at 1440p, then you say 4K. LOL.
Your only unstable thing? Weren’t you mentioning CP2077?
Thousand of people have been running the game flawlessly for days and hours. Fix that potato, you can’t maintain a PC properly.
i have a 4k screen and a 1400p ultrawide
You don’t need a 4k screen. You must be capable of running a computer. LOL
