I like the idea of forwarding the renowns to seasonal content but collecting the altars all over again is something off. We have 160 of them and they are all over the place. I know there is a rotation but it may tkae hours to complete. Also the powers are taken from us. I used to tell my followers that we are so lucky we dont have to deal wtih the altars after one time completion aaannnd it is gone now. I hope D4 team will change it in a better way, not saying revert it but it should be better than this.
There will no longer be any powers associated with altars, so you don’t need to collect them, it won’t be a mandatory task, like it was before.
I get it, but honestly, the player power was way too much. I felt it myself many times—there was no challenge, no fun and no satisfaction with it comes to progression during the leveling. Started with too much skill points. Monsters didn’t matter because they died instantly, and their behavior was irrelevant. It’s no surprise people were complaining about not having fun. Blizzard made the right call by tuning down the player power. Still, I share your frustration about the effort spent on collecting all those Lilith statues feeling wasted. Now we just get gems and materials instead. So my tip for you OlarisRhea, just forget about the statues and just take them if they cross your path.
I really enjoyed having the extra skill points as it is an amazing initial boost and let me play my build very early. I can get frustrated as hours trudge on and I can’t even push the buttons I want to, so I appreciated that there was a bit of an early skip available.
