Why would the dev’s bother?
PvP is already dead since S0…
PvP is not a thing it’s a niche, no one wants to see d4 balanced after PvP. imagine the hassle not to mention how much they’d have to nerf every aspect of every char for it to make sense…
no point in making the game boring by going the PvP route
Do not think it is that hard to fix certain values on a character for pvp.
The gearing will have to be clarified for pvp though, what gives benefit and what doesn’t.
Perhaps gear should only benefit pve. Meaning a frost item, for example, wouldn’t help for anything. But a frost spell would. However they’d make that, there would be a meta. Balance would be found but it would hardly be fair and varied if there was no effort put into making it that way. I don’t think it would be that hard to make something that would work, but I think that it would be very hard to make it a premium experience.
The only way PvP would even remotely work in this game is if they made gear specificly for PvP, and enforced it by disabling PvE gear in PvP zones. Balancing the current gear for PvP is just never gonna happen. Making PvP work in a game like this, is most likely more work than its worth.
I would love if they can put just a little more effort on PvP, with difference on gear and damage for this areas so it can be competitive, Blizzard needs to understand that the real endgame for Diablo 4 can be PvP if they put some resources there.
