Compact the loot like this:
Torment 1: Only greater affix items will drop, all other will be automatically salvaged.
Torment 2: Same as Torment 1 but greater loot and xp, as per usual.
Torment 3: Only 2 greater affix items drop, meaning that most things will salvage from now on.
Torment 4: Only 3 greater affix items drop, meaning that loot on Torment 4 is always excellent but it is rare.
This excludes mythics which may drop from 1 ga at any difficulty.
Also increase the difficulty of Torment 4. Torment 3 is, in my opinion, the target for the elite casual. Torment 4 is only for the extreme. I can absolutely see myself in the upper Torment 3 category, tangenting Torment 4 all season. I wouldn’t mind it being challenging to climb the last step. The way I see it, Torment 4 is that. Pit +++ is for the extreme of the extreme, imo.
But whatever I think on difficult or how it should be, etc, I really feel that the garbage collection needs to end. Yes, sometimes the boss only drop materials of course, and that’s a great thing I think most will agree, much preferable than littering the floor or breaking for salvage.
This also makes it so that if you are unready for a difficulty you will not get any loot at all there, it’ll be impossible practically. At least solo. Like… I play it too high usually and it slows me down, that effect will be enhanced as general loot will come at a hundreth (or however it’d be) the pace but it will also be of much greater quality of course.
