Confusion about the Numbers in Square Brackets

Hello,

I’m a little confused about the numbers in square brackets on Items and Aspects. The blue value is the main value I’m getting, but I couldn’t understand what the square brackets mean. Can you help me?

Example Item: Glorious Staff of Shattered Stars (Sacred Legendary Staff) 705+25 Item Power, Upgrades: 5/5

Example Item Stats: +27.0% Damage to Burning Enemies [21.0-42.0]%
Example Aspect Stats: Meteorites fall around Meteor, dealing 1.007 [944-1,259] Fire damage on impact. Your Meteorites additionally Burn enemies they hit for 3,021 [2,832-3,776] damage over 6 seconds. (Sorcerer Only)

Now, what is the difference between the value in square brackets and the value in blue in both the Example Item Stats and the Example Aspect Stats? What do these two different values do? What are the values in square brackets? How is it affecting me?

That just means your item has Damage to Burning Enemies 27% from the possible range 21-42%. You can theoretically reroll this ability to max value 42% by enchanting. Not higher.

Yes. The number range in the brackets show what is possible on this item, the other one shows what it actually is. If the item drops, the value is set somewhere in this range. A perfect roll for an item would be the top value on everything.
