Controller support

Hi. Not sure this is the best place to post problems found. So i decided to try my controller with Diablo 4 beta, and I use a PS5 controller on my pc when I do use one. Bluetooth connection, everything registers fine with the computer, but does not work on Diablo 4. However as soon as I plug it in via usb-c to usb a lead, it works fine. It would be nice if the bluetooth controller support could be added in

Now I don’t mean to shame on Playstaion, I am just here to offer help

That said, I am currently using an Xbox-controller via bluetooth and that works flawlessly. I do not own a PS-controller with bluetooth support, so I cannot test my setup for you in that way.

I can also tell you that the game smoothly switches between keyboard/mouse input and controller input.

As for why your PS-controller is not working could be something like updated drivers or firmware is needed for either the bluetooth receiver or the controller. I know Xbox-controllers get firmware updates, and I think I have seen Playstations sometimes require controller (software?) updates before you can play some games?

Also see if you can find an official “supported controller” list somewhere, as your specific controller may or may not be supported

I test it with a switch controller via bluetooth. It works, but if the controller is disconnect, the game don’t recognize it after reconnection. Everything works as intend via usb.

Hello. I have a problem with a PS4 controller. I plug it via USB, and it is recognized. The game is playable but it’s quite clunky nonetheless. Pressing X, normally used or basic attacks or interacting with something, often opens the chat, which is quite frustrating. Going through the menu is almost impossible, as the game switchs back and forth from controller inputs to keyboard/mouse inputs. I can’t scroll down with the controller in the menus nor can I assign a new input, as pressing X just brings me back to the first menu.

Not sure at all if it will help, but it sounds like interference/overvoltage in the USB cable/port. Have you tried to use another port or switch off the PC, deplete it from power and try again?

As I wrote, not sure at all if that is the case, but I thought it would be easier to test as opposed to use another controller

mine works great except for one issue. it is as if my A button is somehow sporadically bound to that dialogue window popup in the lower right hand of the screen…
i have not yet been able to locate it, but the A button is move/interact/attack/every other button press display the area log and have character dodge out when trying to close.
anyone know how to fix this?
