Crackling energy damage?

So i’ve been looking in game, out of game, anywhere really.

Where does it say what is Crackling energy’s damage?

every skill has a % damage based tooltip , that shows the base damage of the skill.

The tooltip on Crackling energy is as stated:

Crackling Energy periodically damages
surrounding enemies when picked up.

Thats it. Rest are bonuses to its damage , like in paragon tree. But bonus to what?
What is its base % damage per zap?

There is alot of support for it in paragon tree but the tooltip doesnt even show its base dmg.

like if it does 5% dmg, and you get the +8.5% node in paragon. im guessing its 5 + 8.5%(0.425).

realy dont know bout this one.

did you find an answer to this ?
when we get all the rare and magic nodes from the paragon board, and with the legendary node and some crackling damage increase from gear, it is hitting quite hard. but it’s a lot of stacking, and stacking direct damage might easier and simply better.
