I started the game just fine this morning and after a break in the gaming session i can not log back in. The game crashes directly when the reconnecting screen comes up. Does anybody know of a workaround?

I have exactly the same issue, for me game “freezes” at “logging into Diablo iv”, shows “reconnecting” and then the game crashes. I went through all the posts, updated all include drivers and nothing seems to work. My brother has worse pc spec than me and it runs for him normally - and yes we use the same internet connection, no issues here.
I got it to work!!! I deleted Diablo IV folder in documents and did a repair in the launcher and now it works again!
I cannot believe that but i did delete diablo iv folder in documents and launched the game. Game froze as “usual” and thought nothing will happen but it actually went into reconnecting screen, didnt crash me and launched the game properly.

Thank you! It worked for me too! The only problem is everytime I close the game I have to delete the folder again, otherwise it crashes like before.

It works atleast. Blizzard need to fix this asap.
Can confirm - I have to delete Diablo IV folder (in documents folder) each time to reenter the game. Otherwise it crashes as before. That means i have to go through adjusting brightness etc. each time. Game is still stuck for like 2-3min on “loading into Diablo iv”. It’s bad but i can play. Hope it will be fixed soon.
