Criticism/Feedback

Looks like my post got deleted. Thanks for that. Show’s how much you care about your customers opinions towards your project. I guess accepting constructive criticism can be hard. Isn’t that the point of a beta?

Anyways I’m posting it again.

Character Creation - It’s a lot better than the previous title. There are more options than the previous title. However there are some bare and basic options like the face designs. It lacks. There’s only like what? 4? The female character face designs and appearance could also use a little work, they aren’t very appealing. Body type designs would be nice as well. There’s a lack of colors for the hair and eyebrows. Maybe this is because you’re waiting for the full release. Not too sure. Could use a little more options though.

Gameplay - Let’s be honest here. Nothing new has been done since Diablo 3. It’s the same rinse and repeat combat. I mean there’s barely any new skills even for the sorcerer class. You could say that I just haven’t went through the whole class yet, so that’s a possibility. I mean it is better than most dungeon crawlers though.

Graphics - They look pretty decent compared to the previous title and other dungeon crawlers. It definitely outshines them. However there’s an issue here. When coming back from a cutscene, it’s like woah. You have to adjust your eyes. It looks horrible. And I just mean a normal cutscene such as when you pass out drunk in the tavern and get dragged away by the wheel barrel. Smoke on the ground is decent but it looks like it was rendered in 30 fps or something. It looks so different compared to other effects. I almost thought my fps was dropping.

Performance - It’s not too bad on a i7-12700k, 32GB of RAM (4000MHz) and an RTX 3080. However there are some graphical issues/glitches during cutscenes. Cutscenes also have glitches when transitioning through new clips. The game is maxed out and it’s running pretty decent. There’s a problem here though and the game has micro-stuttering/screen stuttering when entering new areas or when new things need to load on the screen. It seems to be an issue with games lately.

Final thoughts - While the game is okay, I don’t personally think it’s worth your 10$ price increase. It’s nothing new from your previous title except graphics and enemies. Not to mention the micro-stuttering and screen stuttering when entering new areas or just in general from a triple a title. Sorry, but I think I’ll buy this when it’s on sale.

Hi,

i played WoW for 10 years, Diablo for 12 years and would say i have been a real Fan of Blizzard for a long time. So i really like your feedback and i want to add some ‘bad’ points as well:

Gameplay:
I really loved the Diablo Series, to be honest D2 LOD more than D3. In my opinion it was a step back regarding gameplay and complexity. So i thought D4 would go back to the roots and do something extraordinary. Probably my exspectations are too high. And poorly my apprehensions got confirmed.
D4 feels like a darker D3 with nearly same skills, same buffs and debuffs (f.e.: an arcane beam is now red but does exact the same thing) pylons are even closely same than D3. It was something new in D3 but i don´t want the same mechanics and even Name of buffs in game. I Dont want a D3 in another layout with fresh graphics i played for 8 years (!) … sorry Blizzard.
MMO elements: Probably some people like this “Lost Arc” feeling, but i didn´t. An ARPG could be complex, but not like that, there are gggood examples on the market you could look at.

Graphics:
There are no dynamic lights and shadows in Game. Is it a lack of beta? The Shadow of my character / follower spin around them, very crazy, absolutely unrealistic.

over all i would say D4 is actually “solid” but far away from (my and honestly a loot of other peoples) expectations.

I hope this will be read by some people who wanna fix some mechanics in the next month and try to release something that cut the mustard.

Greetings, Blacky

I made a feedback thread in the german Forum took me nearly an hour for every detail to explain and my post got deleted without noticing me… what a shabby way to silence critic, shows that they are not convinced of the game themself…
Good tipp. Copy & Pase this.

Overall and coming from previous Diablo chapters and specially from the second, which is the most linked to the game i believe, i think they reproduced the feelings of the old D2 classes, at least Necromancer is always OP, Ice blizzard/globe sorc too depending on resistances and then come all the rest with melee struggling as usual. A couple of notes are needed although, the first is for the poor and never enough loved druid which is worse than D2 druid by a large margin with late and lower summons and not much convenient bear/wolf melee form, also with the usual issues that an elemental druid will get like the sorc but without being the sorc; speaking of the rogue: i understad they mixed the amazzon and the assassin but now it is too much a jack of all trades without enough to be very good, it never will be a jawazon (lack of room clearing, bow skills are subpar confronted to melee) or a trapsin (traps have cooldowns) and for melee well, if barb/druid with the resistance building mechanic (which i dont like since it is too much slow and fade too much soon vs bosses) are hard to play i dont have good feelings for the melee part of rogues, probably could have a chance in a multiplayer game with someone else tanking for them.

I do agree with what you’re all saying. It definitely is a solid game but it just doesn’t feel like anything new to me. Thanks for the replies and your input as well. Maybe they can change some of the things we mentioned.

Necro’s skeletons have a very mobile/D3 blue effect which does not fit the current dark environment in D4. Please change the color saturation or the whole “blue” effect.

It happened the same to me. I rewrote it and saved also in my PC. It’s because, I believe, we added something about the pricing or the refund. They remove if you do that

Mine too, save it in local & paste again. They remove what they don’t like, especially when we mention what the price should be
