D4 black screen and fans goes max speed RTX 4080

hi there, I played beta on my pc, I played server slam and playing since pre order 2nd June and yesterday I had rly bad issue, I was playing all night long, everythig was ok and than from nowhere my PC shut down, screen goes black and GPU fan went crazy loud at 100% speed…that was scary so I restarded PC and played again for 5min and happens again and again…I went to sleep woke up later on and played again, all night was perfect untill morning (I think same time as yesterday) and happens again…

any idea what it could be? dose some one have similiar issues? only in D4, other games like warzone its fine

I did stress test in Heaven, Cinebench and everything was ok, temps max 60c
help please.

I am experiencing the same issue but it happens more commonly (every 15 min) with 2060 super and intel 11400f

It suggests your card is over heating and so shutting down to protect itself. Why you have the issue now when you didn’t before is a good question but especially on max settings which I suspect you might be using with that graphics card diablo is a beast that will push your card.

There is an official thread about these issues, have you set a frame rate cap? That might help.

Diablo4 is a real stress test for graphics cards it seems.

Things you could try, turn a few settings down or off or set a frame rate cap. I have an older card and so a mixture of high and medium settings with a frame rate cap of 60. It runs well but does rev my fans, no over heating issues so far though.
