Pro:
- Pick up all gems at once.
- Gems aren’t worthless trash. They are gems. As the name proposes.
- Want to upgrade more gems? Just hold the button.
- Want to spend 10 or 100 Paragon? SHIFT/CTRL+LMB. For free.
- All vendors in short reach in each act.
- Respawn as ghost at corpse.
- Meaningful, understandable stats
- Most gear useable across classes.
- No silly requirements for gems. Noone wants to level more than one char at the pace of a snail.
- SHIFT+RMB on a ability slot: change single ability with 2 clicks. For free!
- Save gear AND build in the wardrobe. 5 builds per char. For free. One click.
- Changing stats has a solid chance to get the desired stat for a reasonable price.
- Pylons have a reasonable duration.
- Low number of doors in dungeons.
- Open doors with dmg.
- Fast paced gameplay without downtimes.
- NPC matter in endgame.
- Funny dialogues in camp. For example between paladin and scoundrel. I love it!
- No item is trash.
- Port to other players via portrait menu.
- Graveyard map ^^
- No tags for skills other than fire, ice, physical,… Resulting in no need to satisfy a combination of tags.
- Valid Sorc builds without Frost Nova.
- Less dead ends in dungeons.
- No customizable chars with only ugly results. Ugly chars aren’t as unsatisfying when you don’t have a choice at all.
- Better dungeon layouts.
- No stupid dungeon tasks like “find three items at the ends of the dungeon and carry them back through empty lanes”.
- Better distribution of mobs in dungeons. In D4 it feels like groups are just tripled, so that we sometimes end with six ranged npc instead of two, resulting in sudden overkill.
- Everything about followers
- Pets pick up gold. With the super cool altar of season 28 they even trash white, blue and yellow items.
- We have pets! And wings with cool shaders!
- Cow level!
- Rainbow level!
- Goblin portal. Even after 1000 portals I still love the music, the gobbo and the biting 1000 tons anvil chest. Brings a smile to my face. ^^
- So much more. There are so many small details that add to each other to make D3 the great game it is.
Con:
- No dodge.
- Gear textures in D4 look great.
