This is not a post to bash D4, I think they made good progress in 1 year.
Currently the game transformed into almost like a reskin of D3 and a bit of D2. The greater rift, the runes, which I didn’t really mind. I’m all for the inclusion of what worked previously.
I love how they tuned the difficulties between torment levels, making the leveling progression a bit more meaningful. It’s probably one of the best aspects of the new update.
However what they need is an endgame pinnacle bossing and a progression system to reach those pinnacles. More like the atlas in poe and the timelines in last epoch. I thought the dark citadel was going to be more challenging with longer duration fights, however it turned out to be a chore, very fast. The crafting is in a good state, but we should also be getting the ability to craft rares from scratch to add even more depth to the itemization.
I know some of you are very happy with the content because you’re not playing the game with the same pace as others do, which is totally fine. Before telling me to go play poe, just try to do some empathy. A lot of us want to see D4 more successful than any other arpg there. That’s why every season we’re looking for more depth in the game, so people don’t drop very early in the season, including my friends.
This is just a suggestion which not only help with fast paced players, but also will help slow paced players. The longevity of a season will also be good for the shop sales and the in-game economy to stay active for a longer period of time.
