Dahell did I pay for? D4 continuous memory leak, DEV do not react

D4 crashes cuz of memory leak and devs don’t give a damn crap about it. No responses on topic, nothing on media. Game is not cheap and is not new. People with RTX 40 series cards and 32gb + RAM experience everlasting crashes. Dafuq is this? Are we going to get any attention or not?

a simply solution is to upgrade your ram. if you have more ram than the game can leak, the leak will not affect you.

No crashes for me with a 7800x3d 64gb ddr5 and a 4080. Used to crash once or twice an hour.
The culprit was having ray tracing enabled, disabled it and not a single crash since.

I’m looking at my task manager right now and i have no memory leak diablo 4 is open…
MY pc specs
RTX 4070 12GB
64 RAM 5600mhz
AMD ryzen 9 7900X3D 12-CORE processor
Only thing happening to me was a little freeze like a week ago when i logged in to the game and it was freezing for a few seconds
Only thing since then i did was usual WINDOWS update
and nvdia Gforce drivers
now diablo 4 is runing smoothly on MY pc.

And on my laptop is the same thing runing smoothly
My laptop specs are
Intel Core i9 13980HX Raptor Lake 2,2GHZ boost 5,6GHZ
32 GB DDR5 4,8ghz
RTX 4080 for laptops with 12GB

Only thing i do not use is Ray tracing it’s off on PC and laptop as well

HAHAHA what?!

You buy a product that doesn’t work , so yeah let’s buy more stuff to make it work?

FIX THE PRODUCT!

Yeah, that was a classic reply, nearly fell out of my chair in laughter.

His reply was stupid
But it is true that if you want to play modern games you need modern hardware…
Even world of warcraft and that game was build for the weakest PC ever…
nowadays you gonna have problem with it to run smoothly if youu don’t have high end pc

As Garosh once said TIMES CHANGE

I meet recommended specs, not minimal. It would’ve been stupid to cry about something that wasn’t meant to work on my PC. Besides, let’s be real mate, I did research before posting this raging thread. There are people with high-end specs experiencing the same problem. I’m talking 32gb+ RAM and RTX40 series. And across all I’ve read on forum, there was only 1 response from a community manager, that is being quoted all over the place, telling a guy to set his file on a system demand. It’s not only harmfull for your SSD cuz it will be constantly rewriting data (which you won’t even notice, cince it will dump everything as soon as you close the game). It is outrageous by it`s nature, because yeah, I have to go out of the way to use the thig that I already PAYED for. Problem is being ignored. I guess forum is not the place to solve this kind of problems anymore. You have to get attention of media, like a content creator of something. Then they gonna move their ass. Anybody knows a good content creator for a speaker role?

There is issue with current Nvidia drivers or their use by game. Try installing older version 561.09 which is last stable.

The same here.
RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM. On drivers ver. 561.09 I can play all day long no crashes, 566.36 crashing game every one hour.

Well, im playing on a HP Z230 with 16gb ram, and never had a single crash.
So who’s the problem?
The hardware or the software?

Not seen the so-called Memory Leak issue on either of the 2 PC’s here it is installed no nor friends machines either.

First machine:

Intel i9 13900K (5.7Ghz P-cores 4.5Ghz E-cores) / Z790 based motherboard
128GB DDR4 3600MT/s CL16 (4x 32GB modules)
Nvidia RTX 3080ti 12GB (ReBar enabled)
3 x Gen4 nVME drives + 1 x Gen5
Nvidia Game Ready drivers from July 2024
Windows 11 Pro

Second machine:

Intel i9 9900K (5Ghz all core) / Z370 based motherboard
64GB DDR4 3200MT/s CL16 (4x 16GB Modules)
Nvidia RTX 2080 8GB (ReBar disabled)
2 x Gen4 nVME drives (operating in Gen3 due to platform restrictions)
Nvidia Game Ready drivers from July 2024
Windows 11 Pro

Friends machines range from AM4 based rigs with 16GB RAM through to AM5 X3D with 96GB DDR5 running various GPU’s & Windows 10/11 (both Home & Pro), some using latest Nvidia/AMD drivers & some using older drivers because everything is stable & don’t want to change them.
Average RAM usage (not just D4 use) on all the systems after several hours if game play has been a steady 22-23Gb regardless of amount of RAM in the systems. Some run with DLSS enabled & some run native resolution (from 1080p thru to 2160p or Super Ultra Wide like 5120x1440 at highest quality settings ), but none of them run with Frame Generation or Ray Tracing settings enabled. Could this be the problem? No idea tbh as lose too much performance even with 4090 or 7900XTX with RT settings enabled. Frame Generation isn’t needed in this type of game either tbh imho.
As there are literally millions of different PC specs out there along with software combinations, driver combinations & versions, game settings etc, it’s more than viable that some certain settings could cause issues & the majority are not affected. When been in the IT industry as long as I have, you know that you can have 2 identical systems next to each other & have the main drive cloned to the other PC, and one machine will be perfect & the other could throw up the odd issue that cannot be replicated even if the hardware tests to be completely fine on both machines. Nothing surprises me tbh, but if there was an inherent memory leak in the code of the game, EVERYONE playing the game would be experiencing it which obviously is not the case.
Not what want to hear but that’s the way things can be in this situation unfortunately.

No issues here what so ever. running latest nvidia driver for 4080 super. smooth as butter, no crashes since season 1.

January 2025 - problem still exist in the game since beta. WTF?
