Diablo 4 crashes make PC unresponsive

I have been having some technical issues last couple of days.

  • game crashes, making system unresponsive - only solution is a hard reset (physical button)
  • game freezes unrelated to in-game activity, alt-tab out and back in to D4 resolves the freeze
  • mouse cursor flickers or disappears - alt-tab out and back resolves the issue

I have tried:

  • updating all drivers
  • closing all background applications
  • check & repair game files via Battle.net client

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix or a workaround? I am happy to provide system data and logs/screenshots/videos if required.

Do you overclock or have the system on AUTO settings in bios?

No OC, updated bios but settings are stock. It happens only while playing Diablo 4. I have no issues on my windows 10 laptop nor on my console, so it’s not ISP nor an account issue.
