Greetings.
During the game, without any systematicity, the game closes with an error. In the error window there is no information except the token: 72E0F264-EA10-487C-AB58-CD7E53370B05
The game files are checked, all drivers are updated, there is no overheating of the CPU or GPU.
Nothing you can do about it. I have tried everything. I think we have to wait for release date day 1 patch.
Well my game started to crash consistently after today’s patch.
Same error, doesnt matter what I do (farm dungeons, running in open world, staying in city). Latest error code was E29540C7-60DD-4517-AB31-FF497073511E
And one more time ![]()
There were no problems all day yesterday and half of today.
The problem appeared today, approximately after lunch…
Hi blmeddy! Sorry about the issue on DIV
I had a look at the crash and nothing particular that caught my attention in the report itself so we may need to look at system files for this.
Meanwhile please go into …/Documents/Diablo IV and open the file LocalPrefs.txt with Notepad (or your favourite plain text application)
Look for the line
SafeMode “0”
Change it to
SafeMode “1”
Save the file and start the game. See if that helps as it seems to do the trick for some players.
If it doesn’t contact us and don’t forget to provide the diagnostic files.
This is also valid for anyone suffering from crashes!
Thank you all for your kind collaboration!
Thank you, will try it right now.
I’m having same problem here.
And it started today as well, I’ve been playing since the start - no errors and crashes. Today I updated the game - and it all began.
Latest code was E29540C7-60DD-4517-AB31-FF497073511E
Im running on PC, win 10, 13700kf, 32gb ram and GeForce 1070 with latest drivers, game is on nvme.
Gonna try your advice
I wrote a topic with a similar problem earlier, I tried everything, a possible solution is disabling high-resolution textures (change the settings to high from ultra). On my PC 13700KF RAM 32GB RTX 4090, it seems to have helped, but I need to test further.
No, problem still here ![]()
after the connection to the server takes place, the screensaver starts, as soon as it passes, the game crashes with an error 20307689-64FA-432D-8E03-DE6D842A0A83 screenshot 20307689-64FA-432D-8E03-DE6D842A0A83 https:// prnt.sc/c8qtNTgZGhGY
Didn’t help me, tried even lower graphics settings. Crashes persist
Yup, I second that. Didn’t work for me
Didn’t work for me either. Crash report if it helps:

Same here. Finally got past the eternal loading screen and other plethora of errors, now it just does a freeze crash or boot. Although today for the first time when it did I got a warning that my account was locked after I only logged in once. I almost laughed.
My friend had this issue and I spent ages trying to work out what was causing it to crash. I think there is an issue with the game causing a driver crash in onboard graphics on CPU’s with integrated graphics. I’m seeing this being reported a lot and all the CPU’s I am seeing have integrated graphics. He would crash non stop within 5 mins and since I uninstalled the driver for the integrated graphics on the CPU it has not crashed once. I noticed the 13700k has integrated graphics so remove the driver through device manager and and let me know if it fixes it.
SafeMode has not fixed the constant crashing for me.
My KF processor without graphics core
Unfortunately, changing zero to one in the “SafeMode” parameter did not solve the problem. I managed to play no more than one minute.
Perhaps this is important, I decided to check one element (either paranoia, or professionalism). I changed the “SafeMode” from zero to one, saved the document (and closed it properly), logged into the game and exited via the “Exit” button and looked into the previously saved LocalPrefs document. The “Safe Mode” itself changes to zero. And it also changes to zero when the game crashes.
That is, if I exit on my own or I am thrown out through an error, the file itself is restored to its original values.Error after change SafeMode “0” → SafeMode “1”

This is one of my several responses to the support for the random crash issue. What am I for? I mean, setting “SafeMode” is reset by itself (at least for me).
So, the problem is still relevant and for a day now I can not play normally. My friends are already far away in the levels, and I still do not have the early release for which I paid money.
same crashes here, safe mode didn’t help… 4 crashes in the last 90 minutes
it’s not hardware related as i had monitoring up to check CPU / GPU temps and usage… really annoying now as i can’t get anywhere in a quest without it booting me out and having to restart everything right from the beginning again.
maybe it’s a coincidence, but it often happens when I run into an elite enemy.
