Diabo 4 is bad! Really bad. Not fun, boring

Refund bro. I did. You can do it, it’s easy in the contact / support page.

I love it! I’ve never slept so much or well! Hope to wake up for the rest of the game!

Yep, I was especially sleepy when:

  • Listening to the conversations between NPCs
  • Ignoring all blues and whites on the floor
  • Walking big distances without mount in the “outside”
  • Walking back and forth for that missed obj. in dungeons

I woke up a bit when trying to determine the best build in the skill tree, and when killing particular elites, to be fair.

I was really hoping for this to be good… sadly it was only crawling around mediocre… and best of the game was visuals and sound… that does not hold up for long imo.

Can support the Author totally. I played the main Games for PC only the 3rd one was really fast banned from my pc.

At the beginning I felt some D2/1 feelings. The atmosphere was nice and I thought really for a moment - “did they finally understood how to make a good game?” I played until lvl 25 with my summonmancer and there I saw the biggest mistake. 6 skillslots. not even a 2nd skillbar is possible nothing not even a weapon switch…2h / 1h/fokus nope not possible.

I played a whole day in different dungeons for masteries and else. but after I slept a night about all… I don’t want to go back. it is like the title is telling. it is boring. i can play games without a story or quests or else just to play the game for 4k hours. even AAA titles got me with almost 10k hours - no problem. the most heavy problem I think is there is no depth. it is simple it is easy I didnt feel any difference … lvl 1 lvl 25 doesnt matter the strenght is the same. makes no sense to play it anymore. the dungeons are mostly the same and inside themselves some of their procedural setups are repeating often…sometimes 3 times. the chest on the same place spawn at the same place shelves etc… it is absurd simple created.

In the past years I didnt follow much what happened after diablo 3 with blizzard because this company already lost a lot of his magic long ago. but right now it is even worse than ever. Well it is my opinion but these issues wont be changed. and due to the always online stupid money making feature it isnt possible to mod the game to make it really interesting.

I will monitor that but there are many other really good devs out there with the real magic to create great games. no offense but this game in its state right now dont deserve a long future.

D4 is not that bad.

It really has some problems like a so not good scaling, there you should come up with something to let the NPCs scale weaker and depending on the zone only up to a certain level, for example.

In addition, the skill system is so far a bit of window dressing, because it is basically like D3, only instead of simply unlocking everything by levelling and then choose what, the player now first assigns points and earns the totel free a skill tree at the end anyway.
A real skill but needs clear separation, the possibilities and then limitations.

And Blizz has again taken over from D3 this resource principle in the classes. Thus, however, the gameplay is identical for the classes and constantly forces a very specific play style on you, from which you can not break out and escape.
This is really a big shortcoming and prevents so much class variance, fun in the class and real gameplay changes.
Combined with the one talent tree… Unsatisfying so far… Maybe the paragon levels will expand it… Not to be estimated.

The itself still has minor bugs and the technology is so-so.
Otherwise, the game has a very good quality for now and the story is well done so far.
The speed is acceptable, should not be faster, rather pay attention to throttle the speed to pick up the world at all.
Some of the boss fights seem a bit generic and some of the dungeons seem too set up, like entering a ring as a boxer… But that shouldn’t be the standard, except for certain events. The inis should result in a game flow and the bossfights should not be a test, but deliver an open fight, like in his time in Diablo 2.

The areas are wonderful, you just have to look and pick it up. When I came to this underground city “The Cradle”, it was you breathtakingly dense atmospheric and very good, totally enjoyable. The NPCs that accompany you seem alive.

Blizz has done a good job in this area. There is only a clear lack in some mechanics. But we also have an open world.

It wouldn’t be wrong to reduce the speed by another 20% and have a slightly increased difficulty instead, which would easily allow tactical combat without demanding maximum concentration and significantly increase group play with a friend or random and the willingness to do it.

As for the keys, you don’t necessarily need 10 skills to wrestle down an enemy.
That would just weigh you down.
I especially play the two-handed barbarian with two-handed axe, my favorite weapon genre. And have problems here and there. Have only chosen 4 active skills so far. Basic Strike Jump Attack, Base, Dismember, Kick and Iron Skin. I get along well with them for the time being and that’s enough.

With Jump Attack as the standard attack, you are very agile and fast at the enemies. Dismember makes strong bleeding damage, kick kicks the enemies away, pushes them against others and thereby over and iron skin is very useful as a defensive to ward off certain attacks especially in boss fights, otherwise you are dead pretty quickly as a barb …

That goes well from the hand. I just find the scream duration way too short… I don’t like that. Otherwise I would take another scream, probably a defensive one, to hold off more the hard hits and thereby cushion the fights against hard bosses. But the short duration and the long CD to it… well…

Played the Beta on my Series S at the start of the Open Beta till closing. What started out great for me turned really quick into some snoozefest, unbalanced mess and a pretty boring open world. You will be overwhelmed the first hours but you will quickly see that this is a one trick pony with pretty boring quests (yes, that was never the biggest strength of Diablo but this is a new low), ever repeating world events, the ever same bosses with their beloved strategy to span random mobs.

Played the Barbarian, and he never played so Alien. It was simply no fun to play as a Barbarian for the first time ever. I’ve decided to play solo, which may be a mistake by me but for someone who likes to play solo and in a group, it was simply no fun. Each new Level up gave me actually nothing to look forward to, even with good equip.
For solo playing, the game simply sucks and that was my biggest fear which, unfortunately, became true. But even in a group, I haven’t seen the appeal. I can, without any remorse, go back to either D3 or D2 Remastered.

The magic of Diablo IV took me by surprise, but the magic already faded the moment it hit me. And no, I do not blame any connection errors or something like that for my verdict. I just talk about the gameplay here. And especially the annoying NPC’s.

Granted you picked the most OP class in the beta by FAR. It’s over tuned and will most likely get nerfed before launch to be closer to the other classes.

Play Druid and tell me your clearing content just as fast and get back to me. Yeah you might not die and it might be easy but for instance, the very first boss you fight. will take you Multiple minutes to kill where with your Necro, you probably did it in just over a minute if not slightly under a minute.

They should fire the people responsible for designing the operation of the dungeons.
This was done by people who played maybe 2h in Diablo.

And who approved it? The boss’s kids/girlfriends?
You are completely cut off from the games you make.

You do not need to drink a whole bottle of wine to know it is bad.

Are you implying that levelling is not important, and all that matters is the end game? I already play WoW, thanks.

Obviously you missing a point. In D2R you actually got sense of progression and skills to use together to create combos in example of necro curse for high corp explosion damage. Sorcerer mana shield management, barb shouts…should I keep on going? Game that rains uniques. I saw some of my mates trying D4 and laughing how unique dropping from heaven. What excitement is in that?

Listen… with current game mechanics you need them with their specials. It’s really complicated. But 6 years…

I just don’t like when things 1 shot me.

Glad I’m not the only one. Last weekend it was fun for a bit because it was the shiny new thing.

But this weekend, I found myself stopping last night because I was straight up bored with it already. Did Sorcerer, then Barb, and then yesterday Necro.

I was expecting more, this is like Overwatch 2, it’s just an expansion pack presented as something new.

I actually dusted off Deep Rock Galactic, more fun.

Flame away.

Too old to argue with people, so I just leave here with 1 sentense

Totally disagree. Have had lots of fun. Have done the lvl 25+ area on lvl 18 without a good gear and skill setup… Was struggling to get out alive. Have died a few times.
After getting usefull gear, adjusting the setup towards the legendaries… became very strong and feel powerful in combat. Completed act 1, but end bosses do require ‘some’ effort. Could die once in a while. Isnt it part of the fun to slam those mobs… ? If done right… with +dash, barrier, and fortify… you can build defense and get a playstyle with evading and absorbing.

Open world isnt bothering me at all. Understand the online is needed to keep the cheating out. I like the way it works… running around sometimes meeting another player… but can split easily.
these events also work nicely. Have had some lag while going towards other areas.
Nothing to worry about. Enjoyed it very much. Druid, pulverize playstyle. Hurricane, werewolves (3) with 200% damage+… barrier. would love to continue playing… even this beta could keep me playing for many hours.

lol thats EXACTLY what im telling you!

bro, glad you’ve played WoW but welcome to DIABLO, the game starts at max level.

Daag ze maar uit bij Blizzard , dan kom je er wel achter.

Heb nou eens geduld , ik kan het weten ik ben 74 en speel Diablo vanaf het begin.

If you are too old for that, you shouldn’t be at a forum at all.
People are here to give feedback and they must accepted it to improve the game.
