DoTs do not work

Noticed, that necromancer damage over time effects do extremely low damage (at level 61), even on 15/15 skills, from basic skills to ultimates. Something with dots is really wrong, half of skill tree is unplayable.

Do other classes have same problem?

I tried Rabies as Druid and it is essentially a crazy skill atm (tested up to t6 so far and still strong without proper gear equipped).

So I guess it doesn’t apply to all DoTs

Tested all skills on dummy, noticed that all dots deal 80% less damage than what is written on tooltip. Probably because of armor and resistances on monsters. So I may be wrong about dots having problems and not working. But damage indeed feels weak. Maybe I need to play a bit more.

i noticed the same… and i know why. Because EVERY mob… is at YOUR level, because of Dynamic Level Scaling that was implemented.
You’ll see this if you go to the stats menu and hovering at the Level.
So… if every enemy is at YOUR level, and enemies are dynamically leveled to be at your level, that means.. if you’re 13, they’re 13, but they’re also 38 if your friend is lvl 38, meaning.. you BOTH only do 20% dmg.
So NO MATTER WHAT… you will ALWAYS be dealing 20% dmg of your full amount of dmg. You do 1 million dmg? nah, you do 200k.
So whoever made this change within blizzard, didn’t think beyond “oh, this is nice, now my lvl 70 and 300 paragon friend can play with me, a lvl 21 character

I agree, the DoTs for necromancers are pretty bad and don’t seem useful at all, but I really miss my old damage-over-time build with a necromancer, combining corpse explosions and DoTs. Right now it feels pointless.
