Hey there,
the more i think about my initial druid leveling build the more it start thinking about potential hidden stats / effects of the basic generator skills.
Otherwise I can’t explain to me the huge differences in their spirit generation, dmg and/or utility effects…
Example:
Claw: generates 10 spirit, deals 20% dmg, single target hit, questionable additional bonus effects
Storm Strike: generates 14 (!) spirit, deals 20% dmg, multiple target hit, strong dmg reduction selfbuff, really good CC additional bonus effects
Same applies when you compare the other druid generators with each other.
Just by reading the Skill tooltips it seems to be a no brainer to me that Storm Strike >> all others where at the same time Claw reads like it is by far the weakest one.
So I think there must be some other “hidden effects” in those skills that compensate for that? Or are the skills really just that unbalanced? What did i miss?
This is a legendary effect.
Werewolf Skills function as Storm Skills Which you can only get if you use Claw
and other such skills.
So the devs have actually put some thought into it.
Hm? I am not sure if I understand what you mean exactly. Why do i need Claw to get Storm Skills?
That doesnt change the fact that Claw offers (on paper) a lot less then the other Basic skills unless it has something like a hidden attack speed modificator or something…
Build choice.
Claw is the first werewolf skill you get, it also adds poision if you spec into it. That legendary allows it to also become Storm
which can be buffed with Storm
improvements.
He means that d4 was made in a way that skill itself is a base and is heavily influenced by itemisation. You will NEVER build right if you will only base your build on skills in their base form and their base properities. The shittiest skill can become godlike after synergizing of lucky hit and legendary aspect mechanics with other skills. In d4 1 proper item can completely change how skill work and synergizes with other skills.
