… please consider why people are running those dungeons.
More monster density is FUN
More linear and less backtracking dungeons are FUN.
Not chasing annoying monsters that constantly run away from you - is FUN.
Get those 3 things and you have a winner dungeon.
I agree that - running over and over and over again the same normal dungeon should not be the best source of loot and experience in the game.
Please FIX this. Make nightmare dungeons the better source for loot and experience. (and gold).
Improve (more) the monster density in Nightmare dungeons.
Remove the objectives in Nightmare dungeons. . Make people wanting to complete the whole dungeon. Dont make us finding the best way to skip the whole thing just to get the glyph exp.
Removing the objectives will make new problems that will need solutions. But my ideas are:
Add a completion bar in the dungeon. Killing monsters fills it in. You get more loot/glyph exp/gold/items, the fuller the bar is when you kill the last boss.
Filling the bar should require killing 80% of the dungeon monsters. So we dont have den of evil scenarios again.
Add a damage/health increase aura to last boss. This way ppl wont rush to last boss. Filling the completion bar should remove portion of that aura (20-25% each). So you chose when to engage the last boss if you are pushing just for completion lvl 100 nightmare dungeon.
I have no solution about dungeons that dont have last boss. Maybe they should not be included in the Nightmare dungeon pool.
Improve the item power drops in higher lvl Nightmare dungeons. I dont want to see sacred items in lvl 30+ nightmare dungeons. And with higher dificulty it minimum itempower lvl should increase.
But everyone dislikes the dungeons? It has been a main topic of feedback since the March beta.
D2 and D3 had leaderboards, D4 is getting them?
Well I’m not OP and I’d like to have fun not running through empty dungeons with a big lump of concrete on my back that I have to place in the pedestal before running off and doing it ALL OVER AGAIN to progress.
So lets just farm One dungeon … and do nothing alse?! Did you even read what i said?
Leave the dungeons alone yes… just improve the endgame nightmare dungeons so ppl have more insentive to do them.
Yea i really felt that nerf and was wondering at first what happend. I was farming exp there for my low character to get to t4 and it was fine at first, but after i took a break to eat something they dungeon seemed pretty off and i thougt i was logged back in with a wron World Tier Setting. But it’s insanely nerfed now. Early this morning in the first ring on t3 it was like 10 Elites and now it’s maybe 3-4.
One of the last funny Dungeon with nice mob Density Like original Diablo Style, with a feeling of never ending armies of Monsters is gone, Gratz blitz u lvl-t down.
The issue with dungeons is some of them were godly and some of them were half empty… They should have turned the half empty ones into godly ones, running a half empty dungeon is frustrating and boring.
I am for going back before this nerf, and instead just give less xp and items. As it is way more fun to chain kill mobs, than to run around and try to skip small groups of 1 to 5 mobs as possible, just to get it done.
I understand that the xp and loot was too big, but the main problem now is that the only solution in Blizzard seems to empty dungeons. While this whole francise is all about dungeons and slaying demons.
Ive done every dungeon in evey zone except kehjistan. And ive got to say there are maybe 5 or 6 unique dungeons in the game.
I think my favorit was the endless halls or whatever its called where you take portals to 3 different zones.
All im asking for blizz, is to be more creative with dungeons. You could do anything with them. Theres over 100, not every dungeon needs to be an arpg min/maxxer’s dream. Gove me a multi level labynith. Give me a dungeon with an actual puzzle to solve. With so many dungeons in the game you could just say “dont like the slow ones? Then dont do them”
That being said, slower dungeon maps could have bonuses to make them compete with the s tier dungeons to balance the scales so to speak
